This could be an interesting game. G-P should be the favorite on paper, but I think this T-M team has at least one upset in them this year. They play all 4 quarters and have a stable of good runners and an accurate play action QB. They play keep away (enough to make Whitaker say it is frustrating, lol, coming from the master) and eat up the clock and aren't afraid to use all 4 downs to get a 1st. At times against PLC, they held their offense to negative yards...then they would give up the big one. They had success against Williams early, but those big PLC kids just wore them down.
If G-P spreads the ball around and goes to the air, they have the talent to win it by a few TD's.

This is a must-win game for G-P. We'll need another good defensive effort to beat T-M. They have some good offensive weapons. The key, I believe, will be can T-M's defense stop our offense? Both PLC & Calallen put up over 40 points on the Warriors. I think G-P will put up 40+ on T-M as well. T-M should come out fired up and make it a game in the first half, but I believe Bisby & Co. wear T-M down in the second half. G-P 48 T-M 22. Good luck to both teams!

Current 30-4A Standings:
1. Calhoun 4-0 2. Calallen 2-1 3. G-P 2-2 3. East 2-2 5. West 1-2 5. T-M 1-2 7. Beeville 0-3
Looks like the last 2 playoff spots will be between East,West, T-M, & G-P. East has Calallen & Calhoun to play. West has Calallen, T-M, & G-P. T-M has G-P, West, & Beeville. G-P has T-M & West. Should be an interesting and exciting 3 weeks of football.

East has a bye next week. They play Calhoun on 11/1 & Calallen on 11/9. East seems to have the most difficult task to make the playoffs as they have yet to play the top 2 teams in district.

G-P needs to look for a new off. coord., i've seen pee-wee games that run more plays than that coach we have now.

I agree 100% I'm not a fan of whatever we have been running. The wing T with Bisby and the 2 Starcher boys would tough. Add a passing component and they would be very good. Right now we are maybe good for 1-2 rounds deep. Doubt we go any further.

FB runs about 4 different sets of offense but that pistol takes a very mobile QB. One that can throw on the run etc. I know it may not be the in thing but running the wing T with the pistol could help GP. Give him time. Starting over with a new coach would be tough. In ten years or so FB had like 5 coaches then in 05 Andrus was made head coach. Your coach wants the best for GP. He's gotta see it for himself.....

Someone on CCT calls the Wing T "Trap and Crap"...lol. I hated trying to defend it when I was in high school. King, Carroll, and G-P are all running the pistol and I hear Calallen put in a few packages as well. It has often been said that the only constant is change. Coaches who don't adapt to the personnel they have been given, will be left behind in the current times. FB is running less and less of their bread and butter veer they had over the last several years. I truly think the changes have made us a stronger program to where we have finally achieved balance in our attack. There were growing pains this year and we had less than steller performances early on. It has been worth the early pains though.
