Fun home game this Friday against Centennial. Just my opinion but never know why a team in 5A like Centennial runs a slot-t type offense, when they have the horses to run a more up tempo offense. Teams can pull an upset or keep the score close but didn't think that was the objective. Only can remember 2 teams in the last 25+ years make a 5A run to the state finals and they both lost.

Who gets to choose the uniform combination for the game?

Wow Extremely patient runner waiting for play to develop and blocks to open holes...especially for a sophomore. Unbelievable vision and ability to make quick sideways cuts to make people miss. Great balance and looks to have elite RB speed as well. Kid would start at RB for 99.5% of all Texas teams IMO. If this kid is a 15 or 16 year old sophomore, he is going to be ranked right up there with 2 former great Aledo backs of the past 11 or 12 years who went to UT & AL.

Who gets to choose the uniform combination for the game? I think the team or team captains vote but I dont know for certain.

I think the team is playing with a lot of confidence right now and they are rounding into playoff shape. Last big test for the regular season! Statement game.

Where is Aledo going to be placed if they do in fact move up to 6A? Obviously with Weatherford, but beyond that, what other schools do y’all see them being paired with to form a UIL district?

A reasonable district possibility if Aledo pops up to 6A: Aledo Boswell (Saginaw) Denton Guyer Denton Braswell Chisholm Trail (Saginaw) FW Paschal North Crowley Weatherford

Guyer, of course, is always tough. I wonder if North Crowley can keep up their recent success. They were garbage in the late teens.
