Ok fine, he was under investigation. Because you would know living 200 miles away and I don't know anything because I live by East, work in the schools, talk to coaches, talk to administrators and have connections in the newspaper. Apparently they don't trust you with information. Why the hell would I be making it up? I have no hatred for the Victoria programs. An internet buddy of mine played for Victoria High in the late 90s. Still lives there. He told me all about it. Don't throw a hissy fit at me just because you didn't know about it. QB transferred to East to play QB then back to Edna by basketball season to play basketball for Edna. And like I said it was more than one kid. Dead wrong the kid did not go back to Edna and play basketball he graduated from East .... Your Internet buddy was wrong

Show proof in leagl documents through the Freedom of Information Act. I bet you cannot find one document to say anything about Finley under investigation. Hearsay is not Fact. It is rumor only. So you are quite a Talebearer.

I played against his dad as well. There were always rumors that he lived in Edna, but nothing ever confirmed. There was another player back in the 90s that was often brought up as living out of the VHS district. I know for a fact that his mother lived in Bloomington because my mother worked with her at the hospital. Again, nothing ever confirmed, just rumors.

He definitely went to play bball for Edna after playing football for East then back to East again. This is not a made up story. Forget my friend's information if you want, this was all over the internet and news. Regardless of all this he said she said, the coach was being investigated and regardless of the politically correct stories you have heard he did resign because of this. What did you think it was just coincidence? Ok.

I could give a rats ass if you believe me or not. I gain nothing from making this story up. You are a *********. Lighten up Francis. This ain't a war.

That said Yates transferred from Edna to East. So where's the proof he went back to Edna? Where's the proof he went back to East Again to Graduate? Where's the proof Finley was being Investigated by the UIL? I've looked all over the internet and haven't found anything. Now don't go getting all butt hurt, I didn't say it wasn't there.....just asking for you to find it. You always tell everyone to do their own research... now it's your turn.

What kind of youth program do you have? And with that, what type of people do they have coaching those kids? I can tell you with the Calallen youth and what has built our foundation is the fact many of the coaches are passionate (almost too much) about the sport and are former Calallen Cats in the 80's and 90's from when the program was becoming what it is today. They just don't show up and monitor practice, they conduct it like they would a middle school squad. Wow. Its amazing that when you point to your youth programs success its legit but when I did the same thing about Alice's youth teams I got ridiculed and told the youth teams success is irrelevant. You didn't ridicule me. But these other clowns did. Yet they are talking about it as legit with you. It's part of the formula. No, being ranked nationally in some youth football poll or going upstate and beating a bunch of DFW area teams will in no way guarantee you will be a state title contender in high school much like winning the state 7-7 or beating a Southlake Carroll like EE did a few years ago automatically put you on that level in 11 on 11. But it can give your community and most importantly your kids an incentive to learn the game and get ready for Middle School and high school ball. I firmly believe that is what has helped Calallen in both baseball and football compared to some of our peers. When we play CCISD teams in football in Middle School, we usually whoop them, even there best because our kids know some of the game. On the flip side they whip us in middle school basketball because unfortunately youth basketball takes a backseat to Football and Baseball.

That it was always just a rumor. I'm not sure what the problem here is? Please explain to me what I have to gain by making up this story about Finley being investigated by UIL for this?

But when I make the points it's attacked and laughed at. Let's see if they do it back to you as well. I doubt it though. I won't be holding my breath.

Cochina whoever you are talking to is a liar,Yates actually transferred to Memorial High his Jr. Year. He tore his acl playing for Edna and moved to Victoria after his injury. His parents lived in the East school zone so naturally he went to East…as far as basketball he played basketball at East for a couple of weeks but quit the program, he never moved back to Edna and graduated from East. I know this is factual because I am friends with his stepdad and attended church with them. Now that the record is straight, stop posting your friends lies. He may have Yates mistaken for Brooks from PLC,he played football and left immediately after the season was over back to his old school.

I clearly remember the coach being under fire for the transfers. But I do thank you for letting me in on the Brooks story. I didn't realize he went back to his real school after playing football for PLC. That totally explains why the PLC posters get on my butt when I talk trash about all the transferring nonsense.
