you should never look past any team. I remember one year that the bluff had to beat a lowly kingsville team to make it to the playoffs. Bluff was favored quite a bit. kingsville went on to win that game. With that said based on logic the bluff should win this game pretty convincingly much like last night.

You can make a trap out of any game by not giving due respect and preparing for every team. Upsets happen every week at every level. If the Hornets focus and prepare I expect a win but there are no weeks off.

Bluff should roll in this one.

Johnny has an MRI on Monday....I'm praying nothing is torn in his shoulder. He is a tough kid and I've never seen him in that much pain in his life, ever. Keep your fingers crossed.

I hope we can keep the balance on offense going forward. The first team was on pace for 275 yards passing and 300 rushing. I like those numbers and balance is what we will need to have a good playoff run.

It's not that we haven't tried but our running game has been slow to come around. We have a very talented QB thank God that throws one of the best deep passes in the Coastal Bend. We were able to get our running game going last week. We are definitely not one-dimensional....we have had 4 kids play QB...12 kids run the ball and 8 kids catch the ball this year. Our coach gets a lot of hard working kids in the game. We have had to throw the ball more than in the past and that translated to wins. I've seen Mims throw a ball 70 yards in the air and the D usually doesn't think a kid can hum it that far and slows down.
