Oh yeah, VE69, you can ask the Vic West's coaching staff what JW looked like. I was sitting next to them on the visitors side.
It's great that you know a lot of high profile players, but we get to stand next to this kid on numerous occassions. He is a 16 year old kid that makes most of us look 12!

I don't think much exaggeration is going on when we say 6'0"+ and 200+ on JW. I was standing next to him tonight. I am 5'10" and 180. And I can assure you he has me by at least 3". The kid is a rock and I would guess 215ish. The better thing is Coach Whit had him playing LB in tonight's Spring Game. Man that is one big fast LB. The hard part will be to decide if you want him on Offense or Defense. Probably a lot of both. But, IMO, the star tonight was Trey Robinson. He played a lot of FB and he did not disappoint. He had a few bone head plays but looked like a good alternative at FB if Corey goes mostly at LB. Nobody is doubting the talents of JW. What came into question was his size & 40 time. Crabs04 boasted he was as good or better than Bisby as Williams was 6'2", 225 lbs., and ran a 4.5 forty. Of course, all extremely exaggerated by 04. My point was that you can't say he's as good as a RB as Bisby because Williams hasn't put up the numbers Bisby has. I'm not saying he won't this season if he is the star RB for the Crabs. But, be real, his size & speed are nowhere near what 04 stated. In fact, he ran JV track. My freshman son ran JV track and came in second to a VW runner in district. Williams didn't even beat him. All we're saying as posters on this site is until the athlete proves himself on Friday nights, then he can't be as good or better than an athlete who has proven himself by his performance on the field. JW may be a better RB than Bisby, who knows? But when 04 posts that JW is as good or better than Bisby, I challenged that. And, of course, he referred to Bisby as a "chubby" RB, that was kind of a slam. Then, he comes back & says they're all chubby in the 7th grade. Well, he didn't say JW was a chubby kid in the 7th grade. It was a poke at Bisby. Make no mistake, I wish JW the best & I hope he performs as good or better than Bisby. I think PLC & their fans are a class act. I've always felt that way. But, like I posted, Bisby has proven himself on the field the last two years, and until JW does it on the field, I'll take Bisby over him every day of the week.

We won't know just how good JW is till we get going this year. IMO, his ride is on the defensive side of the ball. But Whit will probably us him extensively at RB. The bad thing is, he would probably make for a better slotback than FB. I could see him at SB and Trey at FB after tonight's game.

Ok Danrut I know J Williams as well, and I don't believe it for a minute that the kid is anywhere near 6'1 my son is a legitimate 6'1 and Williams is much shorter than him, my son towered over him in February during basketball season, now if he has hit a growth spurt maybe he is 6'2 but I doubt he grew that tall that fast and as far as 40 times go, I don't believe the kid sniffed a 4.5. Don't take it personal, I just don't like to see these exagerations being held as truth. I don't have a thing against the kid, I have talked with him and he seems pretty level headed and humble. The only reason why I posted about the people I played against is to let you know that I am totally aware what 6'2 and 225 looks like. Look at Adrian Peterson he is 6'2 and around 225lbs do you believe J. Williams is anywhere near the size of Peterson?

Quote me where I said williams was bettet then bisby ? I did nothin but compliment him. "chubby" was more of an endearing comment as I had fun watchij that kid run, he was a man amongst boys in JH. Youve taken ot out of context amd.if thats a "slam" you must live in a glass house. I did not exagerate williams.size or.speed by much. Last season he was listed at 5'10, 200lbs. Hes gotten bigger..kids "grow" As far as Williams.proving.himself on the field. williams has started on a state ranked 4a football team since his freshman year. Hes proven himself as a.versitale player already. I like what GP has done and yalls fan base is good. But.dont lead people to believe I talked about Bisby in a deragotory maner when I did Not. I complimented him very well..it all started off with "i cant wait.to see.these two square off" and I wemt on to compliment them both. I did not say one was better then the other. Maybe your touchy because yall havent beat calhoun since what , 2008? idk..but I meant no harm or anything.bad in anything I said.about Bisby. He was a good kid.back them amd im sure he is today as well

No exageration.. Hes doing very well and maybe u know someone.who knows him, butbhel lives in our community and we see him often, he has.gotten bigger. And daster. Proofs in the puddin. Cant wait to see him this season. Whether its at FB or LB or both

I use Peterson a lot in some of my posts when people talk about 4.4 speed and it puts it into pretty good perspective I think because Peterson could, and still can, flat out get it. 2007 NFL combine Adrian Peterson 6'2" 217 lbs 4.40 40 yd dash 38" vertical 2.58 20 yd dash 1.53 10 yd dash 20 yd shuttle 4.40 3-cone drill 7.09
