Any guesses as to who gets the gig? Will it be Boone?
Do we have any regular TM posters on the board?

Any help they were getting from the tranfers from London ISD is over. Looks pretty sad for them as far as football goes.

Any help they were getting from the tranfers from London ISD is over. Looks pretty sad for them as far as football goes. But they are getting them from elsewhere. If Robstown keeps on with their low performance (test scores and attendence), they might even get more as well as Calallen. It's hard to believe Robstown HS is down in the 700's so quickly. The road they are going down spells doom if they don't turn it around. On subject, I say they should give Boone a chance. The last two guys they've brought from the outside haven't done so well, so why not give him a chance? Never understood how the kids in this neck of the woods (Calallen/Annaville) can play on the same youth league teams for football, baseball and basketball, and save for basketball, they go south in football and baseball once they start playing on school teams. And I know TM has had some great individual talent, but it just goes nowhere.

Boone is a TM grad and knows the community. He and his sister both were stand out athletes in the late 80's early 90's... I say give him a shot if he is a disciplinarian type of coach, can't be any worse than they've been doing. A lot of those kids would be successful if they had more strict discipline through out the program. The basketball program is example of that with coach Craig, he coaches discipline, expects discipline, and uses discipline in every aspect of his basketball program and they are successful year in and year out. In the 90's we had strict discipline with Talbert and we were successful almost every year. They have been very hush hush about everything this year with the accusations and all that were made previously and the word I heard was that sandejar was also being named in that situation. Any way, if Boone brings discipline I say let him have it and bring pride to the warrior nation but if he has a similar philosophy as the previous 3 coaches then find some one new that will bring down the hammer on those kids and get them prepared for not only football but for life in general because good discipline is always remembered and will help those boys become men.

The swim team contends at regionals and state a lot... There are quality athletes there but only a few sports getting the best out if them and again those sports have a lot of discipline....

Same dc that used to coach at TM in the early 80's I'm sure is whom you refer to there... And I'm sure we can build a dealership across from the high school ;-).... Lots of refinery Jobs though to employ parents at.... He will be a great hc some day but very unlikely TM will match his pay from down the road... He will be rewarded well I'm sure for his loyalty once the main man retires down the road... He'd definitely bring in discipline to that program though if he did apply and get the nod for TM...
