Yeah that's the game Calallen held out the price kid that played 5 years for them..... lol, what? Now you're just making stuff up. at first I called it cheating but then I understood what had happened and found it was perfectly legal to do.... So no hard feelings here about it.... Just wish they had waited til next game to play him lol

Don't you remember, he was the kid that got the 2nd F250 because the 4 year lease had expired on his first one.

Me too, normally these absurdities come from the fools at the soccer school across the bridge.

Which one is it where he threatened to whip danaher in the middle of the field after the game? The one where he threatened to have his way with him in the middle of the field after the game? The one where we got GP's qb to come to TM only to have Calallen get him to come there during football season and getting him declared ineligible only to have him come back to TM to want to go to the bluff for basketball only to have him stay at TM because his dad was afraid to have his son get declared ineligible again for school shopping...? Talbert went on to be highly successful in comfort, malakoff, and a couple other places before jumping to the college ranks now at east Carolina as an assistant there.... He was strict and completely insane when it came to his program but we were willing to do what he said because he always showed he had our backs when it counted... FYI a Calallen coach was once one of his assistance and had a very successful Calallen qb son but before all that he and Talbert got into a fist fight during practice giving each other black eyes and bruised cheeks... That same year Talbert fired almost every assistant coach at the end of the year so the year we went 8-2 my senior year we pretty much had a entirely new staff of coaches... Not sure, but I think the one I remember Boog telling is when Talbert was crying at half-time because they had a lead, and he was trying to get the game called...or something similar. I was having a beer with some of my childhood buddies from TM and we got to talking about that game. It was pretty intense, they were leading either 14-7 or 14-0 at half and Talbert was crying during his half-time speech and asked who was going to carry him across the field and set him down in front of Danaher so he could let him have it. Mind you, this was a year after the coaches almost got into a brawl at half. Well, we came out and ran right over them after we were chewed out by the coaches, former players, and parents who entered the weight room to give us a piece of their mind. It was a funny story because his own players made fun of him for it. It didn't appear that they had a lot of respect for him. I take it they felt he made it about him rather than them.

Ok the game I'm referring to was at warrior stadium so it occured under the regime of Crawford.... Yeah Talbert was all about him and his accomplishments but all in all during my time under his coaching, his first three seasons, we respected him and trusted him to lead us... He did have a thing for his secretaries too... That's one of the main reasons he left was because people found out and he couldn't hide it anymore... That's why after TM he never lived in the same town as he coached.... Heck of a coach but crap of a man in my opinion.... Give me one coach medrano, coach cliburn (sp?), coach graumbach, coach campbell or half a coach d even to 100 coach talberts any day... Heck even half a coach Harris even those guys are men and great coaches...

Never mind the minor detail. WTH are Westlake socks? Talbert had his players wear blue socks to signify that we had never beaten Westlake. Turned out to be a good sign, beat Westlake down that season.
