It was very ticky tacky, but when I watched the game knowing that it was coming I watched the body language and interaction of the players and I knew for sure who was going to get the penalty… He was involved in a few post play situations that didn’t quite draw the refs’ attention. This is absolutely true, by the way. Just saw the whole game. He was instigating after several plays. It finally backfired on him. Maybe he won't do it again.

I would imagine that the coaches saw it and his entire attitude on the field will be different this week!! L Hill will not stand for any kind of garbage like that!

Yeah, I also saw similar behavior from Freddie last year, he got away with a ton - the coaching staff needs to reel the kids in a touch

He was a great athlete but to be completely honest I didn't see the heart. He took plays off constantly and went 3/4 speed a lot of the time! I saw him miss many easy blocks out on the edge from simple lack of effort/desire! I see he is on Texas' roster but I don't believe I've seen him get in yet in a game? I bet he figured out he was not quite as good as he thought in a hurry once he got suited up on the 40 acres!

I don't believe that he was SV's top receiver, statistically, and he might have even finished #3.

To get on the field at UT he is going to have to really, really play with guts and go 110mph on every play in practice!

What a shame - TJ gave max effort and tracked the deep ball better than any SV receiver since Derek Housler. Might have been interesting if Freddie had stayed healthy his Jr year with both those targets on the field...Uggh that could have been the best SV team since 2004!

Did he ever play at the next level? I don't believe Hausler did, but let me know if you know. Hausler was an extremely rare talent and we were lucky to have him.

No, Derek just went to school and became an accountant from what I knew! I think TJ did go to play somewhere, but I couldn't find anything regarding where he might have gone. Both great kids...

I would say I wonder what the conversation was like between HC and player. But I probably already know. And it wasn't a pleasure for one of them.

Oh I bet you he gave them the 'what for' after that game for a good bit! L Hill is not the kind of guy that puts up with foolishness that is for sure.

We'll see if Seguin can keep up the offensive output vs Pieper - they might be able to, but can they score enough to win (doubtful)? NB vs BC could be really interesting, as could Wagner vs SV. Winners of those games are in the drivers seat for positions 2 and 3 behind Pieper for the time being. I see NB and SV as favorites (I picked them in the weekly contest), but anything could happen! I see Victoria East getting the win over Mac, staying in contention (but it is an uphill climb for them). What a fun district!

Pieper does have a pretty good defense but they are a little suspect on the pass defense. I think Seguin will hit a few but it will not be all that much. I don't see Seguin over 21 unless Pieper is so far out so early they empty their bench. Pieper 55 Seguin 21 NB/BC is going to be a really good game I think. I think it is a back & forth 1 score game with NB coming out on top. NB 35 BC 31 VE will likely steamroll Mac. Though Mac is better this year they are still at the bottom of this district by quite a bit. VE 42 Mac 14 SV will be too much defensively for Wagner's 1 dimensional offense. I know Wagner played Pieper a decent game losing by only 14 but I don't believe Pieper had ever faced them before so defending that offense for them was much more difficult than it will be for SV I believe. Unless Wagner can throw the ball efficiently now I just think SV will put them in a lot of 3rd and 5+ yard situations and that is not a good place to be with that offense. SV 35 Wagner 14

SV 35 Wagner 14 I think SV vs Wagner will be another low scoring affair, like last year. SV has had problems running the ball against good opposition so far. Plus Waggie likes to eat clock while they drive...forever...Usually a low-possession, shortened game (at least against most SV teams). I'm thinking a 20-14 type game.
