yep! sure is alot of pics of first week of work for teachers though. any way like blood sport said alice missed an opportunity to have a legit media guy that can give 100% of his time to all sports. Originally when I had my meeting with Superintendent Scarbrough back in 2018 he wanted it to be all about sports with a focus on football. At some point that obviously changed. ur right pete cant be everywhere and get the best of what alice schools r doing. it just kinda sux. he needs help cover and getting it out there for people to see.

there was a good turnout of fans. overall my opinion was definitely looked better the last years opening practice, but new coach last year thats to be expected. qb looked good. running backs looked quick off the ball. looks like #25 from last year is gonna be the starter as of now. he looks a little thicker definitely will help him this year. recievers which will be young looked pretty decent catching and running routes. (better then i expected). o-line for the most part look a little leaner, good height, seems to be quicker off the ball. team seemed to move through stations well. i didnt see much defense because i had to go to work. the vib was good and u can tell discipline has been instilled in these boys. i wouldnt doubt by the end of the season this team can be rolling in the right direction. info on the stadium i got this past weekend was good. didnt see any pics but he said he really hopes the city will be proud of it. they r gonna try to really make the overall look nice. its not confirmed but also looks like the 1700 extra seats they were gonna add later r gonna be included afterall. and there is a possibility that both softball and baseball fields get turf as well as new lights. so while 38 million in some eyes the stadium looks cheap. i think they r gonna really stretch the dollar and get as much as they can. oh! and people wont see it but there is gonna be things included in the new staduim that r unique as in technology for locker rooms that i doubt many stadiums in south texas will have. Some of them were headed to Sam Houston State to look at the construction going on there to see what they may be getting. ( but dont hold me to any of this if it doesnt happen.lol) i personally think they r trying to make sure they keep as much of alice’s old traditional things as they can while adding to generational ones. sorry for the long post. #25 Alviar was an absolute stud when they put him in at RB last year. He played LB on defense last year and I expect that to be his primary role this year. He's probably going to go both ways being in the back field when needed. #20 Trejo looked good back there last year, and I hear there are two good sophomores as well.

I hope y'all stay healthy and pound the tar out of people this year. Sad to see y'all not local in district.
I know y'all will have some fun non district games. I'm curious to see how the new TM staff handles a stiff test like you guys. That is going to tell me a lot about their progress.
I think as long as you guys stay healthy, y'all will go pretty far.

None of that stadium stuff that you got everyone excited about is happening from what I hear. Too much disagreement with everyone involved is what I'm hearing. Some want the extra seats just added now instead of waiting and some want an extra concession stand instead of the extra seating. I'm not saying 100% that you're wrong maybe you know something that my source doesn't but I'm just telling you what I heard today.

I guess if it was me personally, I’d take the extra seating over the extra concession stand first. You gotta get more people on the stadium first to bring in the revenue.

Nobody went to the Orange/White scrimmage? i went to the scrimmage. i thought it was ok. I thought the first offense of drive was good passes to asevedo and the running play for a td was good. Coaches philosophy of being disciplined was on show also. We had a player getting unruly and he wasny having it. definitely liked that from my opinion. there was alot of mixing and matching so hard to give a good opinion. #6 rb and played safety played good all over the field. I sat behind cooky and was listening to him talk about the team. i agreed with him that if the oline can do their part and block we will be ok. and there was some pretty good size kids. Asevedo is gonna be a big key to this team this year on both sides of the ball. I heard Cooky say #6 is from OG and has a younger brother who is big ole boy. As the season gets rolling i fully think this team is gonna do just fine. gotta stay healthy only concern is how many boys with be going both ways in 5a if that will hurt us. time will tell
