Going with Aledo on this one. A team like Longview would win region III.
Aledo 35-14.

I’m not sure what to think of this game. You can’t compare schedules as they had completely different opponents. Any cross-state matchups to reference? Maybe.
Denton Ryan.
Aledo beat Denton Ryan, while the Raiders beat 6A New Braunfels with 1 second left. New Braunfels and rival New Braunfels Canyon (which Smithson Valley played) are essentially even teams. But even that was earlier in the season. I’m sure both teams have grown since then.
SV D is going to have to really turn it up to have a chance here. I assume Aledo plays relatively error free ball. Forcing errors will be crucial. SV’s limited offense looks like an issue, but a good D keeps you in any game.
Makes you wonder how SV would’ve done in 6A. They are relatively even with San Antonio Reagan, although SV did lose that one.

SV will beat Aledo 35-28 at Jerry World.

Give me Aledo in this one. Normally, I wouldn't cheer for the DFW team. But since it's Smithson Valley, I will, as a proud RGV native, gladly make an exception.
Destroy them, Aledo.

Why would you want the team that destroyed Brownsville Vets to then get blown out? That would just make your team look worse. I always root for the team that beats my home team. My home team perennially loses semi competitive games to Smithson Valley. But I guess we are all different.
