Yea the YMCA is running it, how long will it take them to Bail out, it took 4 yr and doubled the budget to build that pool, my point is how can the school justify a 25 mil project just for football. What's your other account? Lol you haven't posted in here under this name in a year and a half and before that you went 2 years without posting under this account. You've missed on this one. 278 is a FB fan and been a member here a long, long time. He just hasn't posted in forever. I've met him and know exactly who he is.

I have no doubt that Alice can fill up a home side of Seguin stadium or half of Gustafson Stadium. That’s about 5,000 fans. I guess the real question is how many visiting fans show up to Alice games? I know in urban areas, you have the fortune of having rival teams being right next to each other, driving fan attendance for huge games. Look at annual attendances for huge games like the Frontier Bowl, Whata Bowl and the Wurst Bowl, which all draw 10,000+ fans every year without fail. Does Alice have any annual games like that from a visiting fan perspective? I’m asking because I don’t know. If not, then 2,500 - 3,000 seats in visitors stands should be adequate. So I guess Clemensbuff might be right with an 8,000 seat stadium.
It doesn’t cost very much to create a higher capacity newer stadium if you go the no-frills route like Seguin. I recall a few years ago, San Antonio’s North East ISD spent $10 million to completely erect new grandstands for both the home and visitors side at Comalander Stadium, which now seats 12,000 fans. A stadium overhaul would need to add for concessions, restrooms, press box and locker rooms. Remember, this is for a no-frills approach. Does anyone know what the cost was to build Pieper Warrior Coliseum in San Antonio? I believe that one has a 10,000 capacity, which includes concrete end zone seating. That could give us a good idea of how reasonable $25 million is for a facility.

Unless it has seating in both endzones I don't know I only saw one photo. Maybe someone can find out how much it cost.

Seating in the North endzone only as those stands were basically built into the field house building on that side of the field. That seating is probably only about 8, maybe 10 rows high. As far as cost of that stadium there is no telling as it was part of the entire project but my guess would be to build one exactly like that from the ground up is going to be well north of $20m. Probably closer to $30

Alice is 5A size now and will be classified 5A for 24-25 and 25-26. So move this thread to 5A !! You can argue on and on with someone there. Alice isn't 5A. It's a guess. They are barely above the cutoff and the cutoff always gets raised. We have no idea yet. Alice will be classified 5A-2 next 2 years !!!

Yup If the UIL holds suit like in the past and try and keep 6a at 250 schools plus opt ups, the enrollment minimums are going to drop in every conference from last alignment.

Don't they usually go up? Yes But it actually looks like this time around when you start with the 250 they normally shoot for in 6a it will cause a drop there which will of course lead to a trickle down to the other classifications most likely.

That Pieper stadium is pretty dang fancy with a huge pressbox.
