4? Wow that's early... I do like PSJA stadium!!! I always loved getting to go there to scout! Not only were the fans fun and friendly to us, but the food was good back then too. It was a nice stadium too. Good luck Raiders. Enjoy the home game, have a safe Thanksgiving too! That Friday since it’s a holiday some schools are playing earlier The SV vs CS is 12:30 pm @ Hippo Stadium in Hutto! SV vs CS ,that will be a great game,Raiders scouts will be there.2 excellent teams .Would the winner become the favorite for Region III champ?

I personally was not surprised, but there was some chatter and doubt about North going into this one Eight voters had Vic East winning. And? A lot of people pick the team they want to win even when they are not the favorite. Your point? Also, can you please learn how to quote people so that it post correctly on the thread? You need to put your comment after the quote bracketed by the poster you are quoting, not inside of it. I fixed this one and multiple others so that it reads correctly on the threads. By the way, didn't you pick Harlingen South to beat VW yesterday? Did you really believe they'd beat VW or just pulling for the RGV team?

Let's get into the results of this game a little bit.
PSJA North had nearly 500 yards of offense, and Victoria East right around 150. PSJA North also had another 100 yards or so called back for holding, along with td. And a 2nd td dropped.
Victoria East was no slouch in D14. They earned 2nd place in district, beating CC Vets and Victoria West. Their only district loss was a 66-42 loss to Miller. Look at that number. 66 to 42. FORTY TWO. PSJAN nearly shut VE out. They really had to WORK for that 7 points. Seemed like it was a 15 play drive or so.
Are the stats telling us what might happen in the Round 4 game... right in plain sight? But we aren't listening because Miller (or potentially Vic West) is flashy?

I did pick all the RGV teams against 14-5A D1,2 out 4 ain’t bad.For me,When you pick/ vote for a team to win,it’s like a bet,Would you bet money on them to win? That’s my point,I don’t factor in loyalty or allegiance into it. I truly felt all 4 could win, obviously Harlingen laid an egg,in these bets,I would have broken even,,won 2,lost 2.I need to see the Vela replayto see what happened with them, other than poor defense,I suspect ,as against the Raiders, the lack of a playmaker at QB,they have a great RB in Polley.

Yards and Scores called back due to penalties are always your woulda, coulda, shoulda. Just drop them. Bottom line is same as last year. PSJA North is #1 and Miller is #2 in 5A D1 Region 4 until Miller beats PSJA North.

Fair enough I fully expected North to win but didn't think it'd be that big of a blowout. I thought BVM/CCVM was a complete toss up and took CCVM because it was a home game. Props to BVM for getting that done. I took VW and felt pretty certain they'd win due to looking at both teams schedules and results. I had no doubt Miller would win So I was 3 of 4 and took your money on one game I guess. lmao And, can you please, PLEASE learn how to quote so your reply isn't in the same box as the person you are quoting? Thanks

Miller is definitely improved but so is North. Come on though, Miller is barely a 5aD2 school and North is a large 5aD1 school. Miller would stand a much better chance of beating FB, AH, Pieper, or LH than what they do North. North is just too strong up front.

Vela had a lot of mistakes several bad snaps several fumbles and penalties. They played ok at times looked really good but when you make that many errors you will not beat a good team. CC Miller is very explosive lots of big plays. I hope to see them play North but there is still a game before that

Yards after the catch broke Vela. Miller was just too fast.

Miller would stand a much better chance of beating FB, AH, Pieper, or LH than what they do North. North is just too strong up front. I think the one thing that can really hurt North against Miller is their lack of attention on special teams. They gave up huge plays to East on every kickoff and punt. Miller has so much speed that if they catch a punt or kickoff, they will take it to the house every time or get it inside the red zone at least. Yes Miller's special teams issues are gonna hurt them too, but not for immediate points like North's special teams issues. As for what should happen based on enrollment size, North should win since they are probably 1000 or more kids bigger than Miller. They have more kids on the sideline, so they should be able to out substitute Miller and out last them. Miller has the advantage in speed in the first 22 kids. I'd even say strength of the skill kids goes to Miller. The lines are very close in my opinion. North may have a slight strength advantage in the line, but the speed advantage goes to Miller on the line. Their Dline is very fast so the North Oline might be on their heels if they try passing the ball. Defensively, I think the DB's of Miller will force turnovers in the passing game. They are quick, and once they get the ball, their speed is going to lead to points. They also don't get frustrated when a team scores points on them. They love shootouts, and teams like that are scary... most teams don't feel comfortable in shootout situations so that plays into Miller's hand. Both teams have to focus this week though to get there, because anything can happen in the playoffs. West is playing inspired football. They'd love to knock off Miller. Brownsville would love nothing more than to knock off North at their place, like they did ccVets last week.

No surprise with this ballgame. PSJA North proved their state quest worthy performance with the East Titans.

No surprise with this ballgame. PSJA North proved their state quest worthy performance with the East Titans. It will be interesting to see how they respond to adversity during a game if they are down multiple scores.
