Go Titans!!! Beat these Valley fools! Show them why these games are always called Valley Weak!!! Once again, you are full of chit. Once again I don't care what you think... it's been Valley weak since the beginning of time... once again if district 12 had not gotten screwed into region 3 and been allowed to stay region 4, this conversation wouldn't be occurring these last 4 years period.

This reminds me of the TM game with Alice. TM came in having had several shut outs but against who? The Alice folks were right... TM had a soft schedule. They did not withstand a legit team. They played 3 teams all season that were equal or better. All 3 beat them. That will happen to North too when they play equal or better teams.
Playing a soft schedule inflates stats and makes your fans happy with the Ws but it still ends with Ls in the playoffs. Who cares about shutouts against subpar teams? Yes I include Vela in that group. They also have an inflated record due to a soft schedule. They are about to get lit up by Miller like fireworks on the 4th of July...
I don't care if you agree or not... will North win, maybe..Will North lose, Maybe... Are they a juggernaut? Heck no! Are they the best Valley team this year? Yes. Have other Valley teams looked just like this and been humbled by coastal bend teams or San Antonio/Austin teams? Yes every year! Has the last 2 years being watered down by a crappy region 4 made it seem different? Absolutely!
To shine some light North on Maxpreps is #155 overall in the state, #32 in 5A D1 and strength of schedule is a -3.4 meaning it is weak as crap! College Station on the other hand is #35 in the entire state, #4 in 5A D1, with a strength of schedule of +25.2 meaning good luck getting through that sucker unscathed! Smithson Valley who should be Region 4, #69 overall in the state, #12 in 5A D1 and strength of schedule of +20.3, so again good luck going unscathed!

Pigskinprep.com has PSJA North by 17 Padilla has North by 19 This seems reasonable and about right to me. I think CalPreps has them at about 10.

For anyone that thinks the Raiders are a one dimensional run team, you would be wrong.Yes ,they are run heavy with over 3700 yds rushing, but ,they have also passed for over 1700 yds.The Alice Coyotes,a spread offense team have 1800 yds passing .Coach Kaufmann made it a point of emphasis to improve that phase. And defensively, they have 7 shutouts in 11 games, should have had 9 out of 11,but Memorial scored in the final seconds & Donna returned the opening kickoff last week for a TD,the 1st & only time the Raiders have trailed all year. But,of course, they haven’t played anybody, and their #7 state ranking, and all their stats should come with an asterisk. We shall soon see. the passing game is about average at best no matter the 1700 yards. Running the ball is what they do best and it aint close. And I wouldn't say they haven't played anybody and never did. I said they've not played a legit top 5a D1 team and most of the competition they've beaten is below average. Do you argue this? Just about everyone on this forum agrees that North is the favorite to win R4. What more would you like us to say? Do you want us all to say things like ccwarcat does and that the only team that can beat North is Aledo. Well sorry, that isn't happening from me. I know enough about football outside of R4 to know that is not even close to being accurate! North is a really good 5a D1 team. They are extremely good for R4. They are good statewide but NOT a top 10 team. Go watch other regions play and get back to me on that if you think I'm wrong! MaxPreps has North as the #32 team in the state right now. Personally, I think they are better than that and probably top 25 and maybe even top 20. However, when you play the schedule they've played this is what happens in computer generated ranking systems. North's strength of schedule is -3.5. There is literally only one other team with a negative strength of schedule and that is CC Miller at #29 with a -2.0. I'm not so sure that Miller is better than North but that is what the computer of theirs has. 1 Aledo 11-0 62.00 28.7 2 Longview 10-1 61.20 35.9 3 Forney 10-1 59.60 29.9 4 College Station 10-1 52.20 25.7 5 Ryan (Denton) 8-2 50.10 27.0 6 Fulshear 11-0 49.50 11.3 7 Red Oak 11-0 48.30 24.7 8 Lone Star (Frisco) 10-1 47.80 19.2 9 Reedy (Frisco) 10-1 47.60 19.2 10 Northwest (Justin) 9-2 47.20 28.9 11 Abilene 9-2 46.50 24.8 12 Smithson Valley (Spring Branch) 10-1 45.50 20.3 13 Barbers Hill (Mt. The whole “Valley Weak” narrative is old and tired. It doesn’t fly anymore. For one, valley week used to happen in Round 1, it’s Round 2 now. Secondly, the RGV schools have surely become better in the past few seasons.

Beating up on district rgv schools during the regular season is not the same as Round 2 playoff rgv schools. PSJA North is going to smash Vic East. Vela is going to give Miller a good run... heck, I'd give them a 25% chance of beating the Bucs. Brownsville Vets may beat CC Vets... depends on if CC Vets comes to play or not. and Harlingen South? They might be able to hang with Vic West.

Secondly, the RGV schools have surely become better in the past few seasons. So, you think that phrase Valley Weak was coined here on this forum then?? Sorry, but it wasn't and the round of the playoffs has nothing to do with it at all. lmao For many years and still today the 6a teams from R4 meet up with the RGV and Laredo teams in round 2 & round 3 for the most part. You are once again showing your lack of football knowledge outside of your small area.

My computer likes PSJA N by 21. Score of 38-17. Seems about right to me.

PSJA N averages 14 passes a game. To me, I think thats just the right number to keep a defense honest. They average 17 yards per completion, so when they pass, they are doing something right.
I always said that I wish Calallen mixed in passing about like Katy does. So heres a comparsion.
Katy 2023 Pass Attempts 156 Rushes 423
PSJA N 2023 Pass Attempts 157 Rushes 431
Katy has 1609 yards passing, PSJA N has 1700 yards passing. No one has ever accused Katy of being an air raid offense, but everyone knows they throw the ball just well enough to open up their running game. That's what PSJA N does. For a team that runs the ball so well, they are pretty respectable at passing too.
*Disclaimer: No, I am not saying that PSJA N would beat Katy, I know how you yahoos are, so don't.

The one thing Katy did with that though was play legit opponents. Playing 7 to 8 weeks of ccKing, ccMoody, and Hidalgo type teams, heck 1700 yards passing doesn't seem good enough. Even the TM passing game looked good vs ccKing and Hidalgo. North is the favorite and should be. I am hoping for VE to bring it and coach Reeve to bring reality to them and pull the upset. You are one that brings valid points and isn't drinking the hallucinogenics kool-aid... hope all is well with you JG..
