Yeah I don't get it either. East is playing some pretty good football right now and would probably beat Vela if they were to play tomorrow. PSJAN hasn't been tested up this point, and East will give them a good ballgame, but I don't think it will be enough. This is what I'm thinking. As long as VE doesn't go in and poop the bed and make all kinds of mistakes I think this will be a competitive game for at least 2 quarters and maybe into the 2nd half. I do think North will eventually overpower them and have their way later in the game with that big line and strong run game. But I honestly think that VE can and will give them the best game anyone has all year and I don't see them getting shutout like Vela did. I believe East will give them a good game for awhile. Prater will score probably 2 td's from the wildcat... but that's all the scoring I see for the Titans... slight chance of one more long passing td on a broken coverage or 50/50 ball. The Raiders will pretty much run wild on offense... maybe 1 or 2 sustained drives... and 5 or 6 or 7 long td runs, possibly a long td pass snuck in there to replace one of the long td runs. Zero punts. It'll be something like 56-14 or 63-21.

North only beat Mc Mem 27-7 and Vela 30-0??? Sorry, but those two teams are not any kind great 5a D1 teams. VE would handle Mc Mem easily and I think they'd even beat Vela. Come on man. North only beat a bad Donna team 45-7. I watched that game and Donna was NOT good at all.

Offensively, Vic East doesn't have the overall skill to challenge North. They have individual skill that will get his, but that's it.

PSJA North should be worried because CC Warcat is cheering them on.

Anyone who thinks Vic. East would beat Vela is delusional,McMemorial? maybe. How did the Raiders do against all that Region III type speed (according to some here) Miller had last year?Raiders return essentially the same team, only with more playoff game experience & strength .Don’t like predicting a blowout, but North should win comfortably.

You are probably correct but sometimes those Victoria teams - show up to play and other times they do not. Crazy stuff with them over the years.

Funny you say they are not great against the run... they did better vs NBC vs the run than Vets. Also, they did well against Vets against the run. Only 2 teams had more than 160 yards rushing on them, GP and Miller. Everyone else was less than 160 as a team. I'd say that's pretty good against the run. It's also funny now you are saying North is completely 1 dimensional... that is going to kill them... shutting down the run and they're toast!!

Vets has not been good against the run this season. Carroll had 170 on Vic East and Vic West had over 250, too. Moody had 240. Miller had 450. GP had 520. I’d put North in the category of being better running the ball than GP or Miller. North will surely be north of 300 rushing, and probably north of 400 or 500, in this game.

North will surely be north of 300 rushing, and probably north of 400 or 500, in this game. Moody did not have 240 on them... they had one back that had 92 yards and 1 back that had 70 another had around 50... on 46 carries total or 4.6 ypc ... and they won that game 49-0... Carroll had 160 on them... would have been 165 but they held one back to -5 rushing yards. Again that was on 34 attempts... 4.7 ypc.. yes West had 251 on them... but that was on 48 carries or 5.2 ypc... so still not terrible... but not good either on that part for that game I will admit. I will also say that Miller, Vets, GP, West, Carroll, NBC, and Taft are all better quality opponents than North has had with the exception of possibly Vela their entire season... North has not played a quality team worthy of holding Miller's jock strap all season, much less Canyon's, Vets', or West's...

We may be looking at CCVM, Miller, VW and VE all still playing each other next week.. That's exactly how my bracket plays out... the only "upset" based on rankings is the East v North game. Everything else says ranking wise the Corpus district has the superior teams. Miller big, West in a close one and Vets by about 14...
