As a SV fan, I'm not worried about Fulshear after playing them last year - but we have to get there first.
As far as enrollment numbers, most of what I've seen has been 2350 or so, so I'm guessing we will go back to 6A next year and probably be in a district with Steele, Clemens, Judson, Canyon, East Central, Wagner (?), and one or two more. This is one of the most fun parts of the year, with playoffs and keeping one eye toward the future!

SV always brings it and makes the other teams better or you will take an azz whoopin'. I'm hearing Wagner is just above 2200 kids this year so I am thinking they stay 5a D1 another 2 years. I sure hope if SV does jump back up they are in with us. I also hope it isn't another 6 team district and we get at least 7 if not 8 teams in it. I hate having 5 non-district games!!!

Y'all would have have one heck of a district if they did all of Y'all with SV, Westlake, LT, and SM. Now that would be a salty district!!! I bet CC Vets and psja North would still be the champs of it though so there's that... but you know no ones as good as them in the universe 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Or at least one quarter in each one of them. Maybe a minute or two of the Westlake game! I can already hear him now. If we would have made adjustments after that first kickoff when it was 0-0 against WL we could have won it.

They'll have to plan for at least a 3 day stay for Austin! That time change and all! Oh dang, that's a huge road trip!!! That will make a huge difference in their play.. that's why they can never win a semifinal!!! Those darn road trips! They can never get the time change right... it just makes it impossible for them to function... dang UIL cheats to make Vets look bad every year is what it is!

But Fulshear is better than last year and have over 2600 kids enrolled.

Fulshear would definitely have the athlete to athlete advantage in the game but coach Hill and staff are the great equalizer. I wouldn't put any money on that game if it happens. Not a plug nickel!

A SV vs Fulshear game means that SV would have gotten by College Station the game before. Both SV and CS are on the same half of the R3 bracket and would meet a game earlier than last year where CS was #2 out of D11 and therefore on the other side of the bracket. While fun to play all these what if scenerios I'm pretty confident that none of the boys or coaches frequent these boards and are focused on one game at a time.

Red Oak beat Midlothian. Means Red Oak wins the district and Midlothian goes on the top side of the R1 bracket.

Good point - the order would be flipped from last year. I think the path is going to be a difficult one for the winner of R3, whoever emerges will be challenged more than once.

Yup Bottom line is that the R3 bracket is a gauntlet no matter whether you are on the top or bottom side of it. Some damn solid teams in there!

IMAO...Ranking the regions before the playoffs: (1)R3-more contenders for a state championship then any region. (2)R1-top half of bracket is the most challenging of any region, with Aledo in the bottom half with solid teams. (3)R2-typically my toughest region but not as many contenders as R3 and none will challenge Longview (hoping this jinx's them). (4)R4-after many years (2016) the region has a true state contender with North. Miller is good but honestly not a team that can compete with other quality contenders this season.

I think R1 & R2 have more contenders than R3. R2 has the most heavy hitters. 1) Aledo, Abilene, Cooper, Northwest, & Midlothian 2) Longview, Forney, Reedy, McKinney N, Barbers Hill, Lonestar 3) CS, Fulshear, SV These are the teams with the best shot at getting to and possibly winning it all. Teams in Red are the biggest threat to win it.

Clem, I'm not sure that I agree. I think Aledo, Red Oak, Longview, CS, Fulshear, SV and North have the best shot to win State with the way things are layed out. I agree that R1&2 have a lot of heavy hitters but R3 has 3 legit teams who could win it all. However no matter what region, either win or go home.

I saw on twitter last night that the Red Oak QB got hurt last night. Hope he is ok but that would be a big blow for them if he cant come back. What did you think of Ryan and NW last night?
