Oddly enough I think the team that "benefited" the most with losing last night is CC Vets. They avoid PSJA North in the 2nd round and would play them in the 3rd if both make it that far. The problem is that Vets seems to have lost its #1 player and heart/soul of the team last night. I don’t know if they can rebound. If Vets has truly established a winning culture then the effort and fight will still be there. If they pack it in then they are front runners.

If Victoria West beats Victoria East would that put Vets fourth I really see the Victoria teams matchup as a coin flip being a rivalry game.

If West beats East we would have a three way tie with each team being 5-2. If that happens I believe the district uses the point system to determine seeding. Vets sits at +11 beating West by 15 and losing to East by 4. West would have to blow East out to make up those lost points to Vets. So I'm not positive but if West barely beats East, Vets would be the 2. seed.

It always goes Head to Head first, then points (with a Cap) if still tied! Two way tie no matter the place goes head to head. 3 way ties H2H first, A beat both B&C but lost to other teams 3 way ties H2H first, A beat B, B beats C, & C beats A; still tied ~ points! 4 way tied H2H first, then points. Lastly, it goes H2H, then points, and if necessary if there are still any ties, then it goes back to head to head!

East beat Vets, Vets beat West, West beat East. As it sits if West beats East I think Vets would get the #2 seed. Unless West beats the poop out of East.

Points can be used in different ways… positive only, positive & negative but whichever one is used, it will always have a cap for blow out games!
Most use a points cap of 13 - 17 points!
Here’s an example I’m working on for D11 for 2nd - 4th place! I’ll have the exact points scenarios sometime tomorrow!
Currently A&M Consol. has played both GT & CP GT beat A&M Consol. by 4 points A&M Consol. beat CP by 8 points
Below are the playoffs seeding possibilities based upon this game. Georgetown @ Cedar Park
If Georgetown wins R-D11 Georgetown 6-1 T-D11 A&M Consol. 5-2 F-D11 Cedar Park. 4-3
If Cedar Park wins & A&M Consol. wins ~ Records: A&M Consol. 5-2 Cedar Park 5-2 Georgetown 5-2
(Positive Points Only)
CP wins by 1 to 3 points: R-D11 A&M Consol. +8 T-D11 Georgetown +4 F-D11 Cedar Park +1 to +3
CP wins by 4 to 8 points R-D11 A&M Consol. +8 T-D11 Cedar Park +4 to +8 F-D11 Georgetown +4
CP wins by 9+ points R-D11 Cedar Park +9 T-D11 A&M Consol. +8 F-D11 Georgetown +4
(Positive & Negative Points)
CP wins by 1 to 5 points R-D11 A&M Consol. +4 total T-D11 Georgetown +3 to -1 total F-D11 Cedar Park. -7 to -3 total
CP wins by 6 to 12 points R-D11 A&M Consol. +4 T-D11 Cedar Park -2 to +4 F-D11 Georgetown -2 to -8
CP wins by 13+ points R-D11 Cedar Park +5 T-D11 A&M Consol. +4 F-D11 Georgetown -9

A similar scenario would occur in D12 if New Braunfels Canyon beats Wagner. Would be a three-way tie for 2nd place (Wagner, Champion, NBC). I assume D12 would also use point differential as well. I wonder, how common is it to use positive points only vs. positive / negative?

Standings Next Game College Station 6 - 0 Pf. Hendrickson Georgetown 5 - 1 @ Cedar Park A&M Consol. 4 - 2 @ Leander Glenn Cedar Park 4 - 2 Georgetown
College Station will be seeded as the W-D11
If Georgetown wins R-D11 Georgetown 6-1 T-D11 A&M Consol. 5-2 or 4-3 if A&M Consol. loses F-D11 Cedar Park 4-3
Assuming A&M Consol. & Cedar Park (WIN) A&M Consol. 5-2 Cedar Park 5-2 Georgetown 5-2
Here’s the District 11 Tiebreaker formula! If teams have ending district records that are identical, the following formula is used to seed teams for the upcoming 2023 playoffs!
- Head to Head matchups used ~ if still tied => points
- Positive & Negative points are used. (+/- 17pt. cap)
- Any ties during this process it reverts to H2H
Current Point Standings: A&M Consol. has played both GT & CP
Georgetown beat A&M Consol. by 4 points A&M Consol. beat Cedar Park by 8 points Georgetown @ Cedar Park (TBD)
A&M Consol. (-4) + (+8) = (+4) total points Georgetown (+4) + (+/-TBD) = (+/- TBD) total points Cedar Park (-8) + (+/-TBD) = (+/- TBD) total points
Below are the playoff seeding possibilities:
CP wins by 1 to 5 points R-D11 A&M Consol. +4 total T-D11 Georgetown +3 to -1 total F-D11 Cedar Park -7 to -3 total
CP wins by 6 to 12 points R-D11 A&M Consol. +4 T-D11 Cedar Park -2 to +4 total F-D11 Georgetown -2 to -8 total
CP wins by 13+ points R-D11 Cedar Park +5 total T-D11 A&M Consol. +4 total F-D11 Georgetown -9 total

Nice breakdown TWolvesFan. Having followed this board and a lot of the D11 comments it seams to me that the really the only spot D11 teams want to try and avoid is the #4 spot. That would require them to go through the D12 #1 SV but also potentialy and a fulshear team nobody seems to be talking about. And then may also have to circle back and take on College Station again.
