I hear you brotha. But something has changed over the last couple days. If I understood right, the board wants Gaza and Canales to stay on staff and stressed that the baseball coach can’t be touched either, he’s interested in an administrative position and has been for a while. Not sure what is going on with that but it’s being said that if they don’t go in-house with the hire, the new guy can only bring in two of his own. What a bunch of horse crap. So they have to hire from within just because you don't want those 3 coaches touched? Makes no sense. So it's not necessarily that they are going to hire from within but the new coach can only bring so many coaches with him? Not sure exactly what you're saying. Exactly I'd love to see any new hire head coach that was allowed to completely, 100% bring in all his staff. Doesn't happen ANYWHERE EVER

When you start telling prospective candidates "you gotta keep this guy and that guy" thats going to turn the vast majority of candidates away They are talking about 3 or 4 coaches in the entire school. No new hire from outside is ever bringing in an entirely new staff

I appreciate packattack95 information but he's off.

When you start telling prospective candidates "you gotta keep this guy and that guy" thats going to turn the vast majority of candidates away They are talking about 3 or 4 coaches in the entire school. No new hire from outside is ever bringing in an entirely new staff Back in 2004, Beeville allowed Soza to bring in everyone he wanted and fire everyone he wanted. He brought 2 volleyball coaches, 2 basketball coaches, reassigned the current volleyball coach (who had made playoffs every year) to be the girls soccer coach (she had never coached soccer and hated it), brought his own track and baseball coaches too, brought Jr high coaches, and brought his entire football staff minus a couple that got promoted at Mathis. He kept 2 coaches Dominguez who's still there with him, and Foster who coaches wrestling. Both of which are great men. He let Maupin stay at the Jr high until he retired. He also kept Doc as asst. AD and head trainer. I was moving on to TM at that time to help Williams, so I didn't ask to stay. But he completely gutted both boys and girls athletics. In all my years, that's the most power I have ever seen given to one person in the realm of coaching when they brought him in.

I don't think this a coincidence IMO but I just saw that the school district postponed there meeting that was scheduled for tonight to next Monday. I hope to God this school board doesn't screw it up on the next AD and superintendent if those rumors are true. This decision will be either a major step forward or a major step back. Unfortunately I feel those idiots will get it wrong again 😠😠😠

Seems too soon based on the March timeline rumors packattack95 is talking about.

I know that when Boswell left Coach Alvarado, the baseball coach was interested in asst. AD position. He was talked out of it basically. Also he would not have been allowed to coach baseball as assistant AD/girls coordinator. There may also be a possible shake up with the coaching staff I was told, depending on what happens with the AD/HC situation. I don’t know why that was insinuated. It was also mentioned that the baseball coach is once again interested in an administrative position. The powers that be are split on cleaning house within the football program. That I can confirm.

I'm hearing coaches on the current staff are not even applying because of the micromanaging basically but you say some board members want to hire from within so I don't know. But that's the latest I heard.
