I'll respond with my BC rebuttal later on the Pioneer BC game. This type conversation is fun (not meant to disrespect to Pioneer). Aledo is stirring the pot I like it. The bold statement is a little disrespectful to BC in my opinion. BC will be missing Boyers, but should fill the holes just fine.

Good for them. Should be no excuse for Pioneer not to win the whole same thing. They have the 5A cover boy at QB, Eric Dickerson 2.0 at RB, and lots of other weapons I’m sure. And all they have to do this year is catch a couple more passes it sounds like. I just remember with game on the line last year they couldn’t get a yard, dropped passes aside Why are you salty? Pioneer did pretty damn well last season in this classification... I’m not salty at all. Best of luck.

He’s productive and got ok size. He will be a true rb which is something they had lacked so he will definitely help if its actually him transferring. www.hudl.com/v/2DVc9H. Looks good at putting his foot in the ground and getting upfield. Got a little shiftyness to him. Good at fighting off defenders with his hands. I'd say quicker than fast. I know it's a highlight video so no negative plays shown. But those defenses shown in these clips couldn't tackle for s**t.

Calallen and PLC leave and now everyone is trying to claim the top spots. Hopefully all the games will be played so we see who earns the spot as the top dog.

Well, BC beat Calhoun, Calallen and Pioneer last year, so BC currently owns top dog.

Pioneer isn’t the same team without WR Luke Padilla and that DB Mallard but they do have Marburger... I’d say Pioneer is in better shape than BC is...

If this kid was a freshman in this highlight reel, he is impressive. He is not very big even for a freshman, at least height wise but he has very good vision in traffic, a nice wiggle, good burst/quickness, and runs hard. Not great speed in the open field but certainly plenty enough to get it done and if he was a freshman I would look for that along with everything else he already has to improve a lot in the next 2-3 years. And I would agree with you that this is exactly what Pioneer lacked last year offensively in their backfield. And I also agree that he is a true RB.

Pioneer hung right with Champion last year and in some ways outplayed them on the field but committed too many mistakes which you will see sometimes with teams who've never been too deep in the playoffs. Champion had a very good team with a great Sr QB that led them last year and very much deserved the win. It's just too bad they had an accident in their pants the next week. There is no doubt they lost to a better team with more size and much more speed but the fashion in which they led it was like they'd played their state title game the week before. Embarrassing for sure.

But, if he was really just a freshman in this highlight, he certainly has some potential if the work is put in, especially if he was a 14 year old freshman and not a 15 year old who is a year behind. I like his vision in traffic and the quick little wiggle he has to create space in tight areas

Anybody can catch a big fish once, its the one that does it consistently that is a good fisherman. Is it true that kids in Boerne can actually chose which school to go to, Boerne HS or Champion?

Both teams made mistakes, the dropped passes had little bearing on the game, they still scored on those series anyway. BC fumbled the ball twice, sloppy ball handling, and a fluke tipped pass landed in a DLs hands. Pioneer fans like you can cry about the mistakes all day long...but the reality is they had little bearing. BC beat Calallen the following week, then played FB Marshall after. The 10th grade class had a choice, the 11th and 12th did not have school choice. Once you pick as of your 9th grade year, you can not change w/o similar UIL rules. I know a kid that switched to Boerne and had to sit out V a year. "Now, lets see if they can do it again any time soon. Anybody can catch a big fish once, its the one that does it consistently that is a good fisherman. " This would apply to Pioneer more so than Boerne.

BC has a much better overall team, top to bottom. I would take our team w/o Boyers over their team, w/o question. Our DL will be a year older, the Pioneer OL won't be able to handle them. They will have to double team two of them for sure. Of course, Tivy, Brenham and some other teams will have something to say before that happens. We actually have some decent teams in district to play, Pioneer has a cake walk.

So my username is Clemensbuff but you think I'm a fan of pioneer? lmao Sorry, yes you are correct and BC did beat Calallen the following week after this game. Congrats on that as it was a very good win for Champion. For some reason I was thinking the BC/Pioneer game was for the regional title and it was the next week that BC showed up with the 'deer in the headlights look' but it was obviously 2 weeks later in the semis. Pioneer has been around about 1/2 as long as Champion so I think the statement I made about catching the big fish may apply to BC a bit more at this point, especially since the Chargers now have won their first regional title and Pioneer is yet to achieve that. BC has done well their first 11 or 12 years as a program and is 13-9 overall in the playoffs. Pioneer is 2-4 overall so far in the playoffs in their short existence so they have a way to go. Last, when you give up over 650 total yards of offense and are outgained by 150 yards, I think your team most likely got away with a few more mistakes than your opponent did. I watched the game all the way through and both teams were very, very evenly matched. The game momentum swung several times from side to side. It was a great ball game that could have easily gone either way. Pioneer was in no way overmatched here and IMO the two biggest things that got BC the W were the big drops by Pioneer receivers and the BC senior QB. He was outstanding and left it all on the field that day and I believe the difference maker.
