We haven't really had this discussion, but what makes a stadium great in everyone's opinion?

Parking, parking parking, and safe passage to and from the parking. Concessions are what they are, I don't go to a game to eat. Leg room is a plus,'being 6'1" and stacked with muscle, I need my room. Masseuse for intermission.
Grass fields are essential for me. I hate turf for many reasons. Football is meant to be played on grass!!
Seating capacity that's comparable with the level of football it hosts is also important.

That's what is good about a small town you don't have to worry about getting mugged and your car will be their after the game. Went to a 5a game in San Antonio may of been 10000 people at the game and had my wives car stolen. 2 cars where stolen and ours had to be one of them. I should of went and played the lotto, bad luck doesn't win it?

More like raped, they wont let you smoke a cig after it was over. Told the kids to eat a good breakfast but after 3 games that day I had to buckle and take it like a man.lol

Alice's Memorial Stadium has been voted Texas's best natural grass stadium in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 by Texas Turfgrass Association. We are a town of only 19k yet our stadium seats 10.5k and has the only end zone seating in the Coastal Bend. During the playoffs if we are playing a home game in at least the 2nd round, bleachers get added from end zone to end zone on the bottom of the stadium on the home side and visitors side which pushes the seating capacity up another couple of thousand. We have a video scoreboard as well and the most loyal, devoted fans in all of the Coastal Bend.
cue the jealous PLC fans who are gonna start crying about our restrooms...

Umm votes by who, where, when? How? I e heard others claim that as well, I'm just curious how this voting happens and where i can find documentation of such claim. It's seeded bermuda, just like any other grass field, big deal. I will say football is meant to be played on grass, so Alice has that right. lmao so now you know exactly what kind of grass we use and how it's kept up? I told you the Association that hands this award out and yet you still are questioning. lmao. The nonsense never ends with you. TEXAS TURFGRASS ASSOCIATION. Look it up. Don't ask me to.

But yes, 6K for a 2a is really good and is probably better than at least 50% of the 4a stadiums out there. As far as Tom's question....... 1) Seating capacity 2) parking 3) concessions - enough of them and the poeple to run them - HEROES SUCKS IN THIS RESPECT 4) plenty of toilets 5) sound system 6) traffic flow (getting out after the game) These six things to me are probably the most important. We get a lot of flack for our little stadium in Schertz...seats about 8k or so. To be honest, we love Lehnhoff Field and playing there. No, it is not big by 4a, much less 5a standards but it is home and we are snug as a bug in a rug and will stomp a mud hole in you there! Steele has not lost a game in that stadium since moving up to 5a so we are fine with it as is!

Kinda like how we feel about our stadium here at Crabnation. Small concessins (check), small restrooms (check), terrible visitors parking (check), gonna stomp a mudhole in your a$$ here (check).
