Community dedication? Yeah that community dedication really showed when all of no more than 100 of your fans showed up for the 2nd round playoff game verses Alice. Be honest dude. Everyone in here supports the idea of transfers anyway. Danaher steals kids. Just admit it, everyone already knows. And yes some of your transfers are legit and nothing to do with Danaher recruiting. But he does recruit. Danaher changed things because of his ability to recruit, not his ability to coach. Why do you think with all the success Danaher has had, that he has never moved to a bigger school and for more money? I'll tell you why, because he already has his little recruiting system in place. And so what if he moves to another school and he can't get away with the recruiting there? To me that is why he stays in Calallen. You are so full of crap, you don't need to sit on the toilet to relieve yourself. It comes out of your mouth every time you open it or post something on here.

Are you seriously gonna make me tell the story again? I swear on all things Alice Coyotes... There was an 8 th grade beast of a kid on my friends kids Alice all star football team. He was from Edna. His own dad said that they were considering moving to Calallen BECAUSE DANAHER HAD BEEN CONTACTING HIM AND SAYING HE WANTS HIS SON TO PLAY FOR CALALLEN. True story and I could care less if you believe it. And I also added that I am sure some of the transfers are legit so nobody needs to school me on how their kid went to another school because of Alice this or that. Your coach recruits. Play dumb all you want. And before the PLC fans gang up... I ALREADY MADE IT CLEAR IF HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH LEGIT TRANSFERS. But a coach going out of his way to recruit a freaking 8 th grader from Edna? lmfao. That's straight up against UIL rules. Not Cochino rules. UIL Rules. Get that through your head.

So what cochino, just let it go. Did you know that Van Tom Whatley recruited Charlie Forbes from George West? I know this for a fact because Van Tom, and big Charlie were drinking buddies. Yes, I know Charlie Forbes wasn't a real stud, but still.

Charlie Forbes owns a company in Alice. And Charlie Forbes wasn't good. No need to recruit him. Sorry but your assumption that he was recruited just because the dad was a drinking buddy is false.

I agree that Charlie Forbes was not a great player, hell Van Tom played him at QB., when our our backup was better. FYI, Forbes didn't have a company in Alice back then. His offices were out of George West and Freer.

But not because he was necessarily better. Just because Forbes was very bad.

Not true. Dude i go to every game. Daniel Stevens was his backup. I remember a game in particular where Forbes was playing like garbage, so the fans were screaming for Stevens to go in. Well they put Stevens in and on the first drive he threw an interception. I remember how stupid it looked. Stevens was not good. Forbes actually went on to play with that arena team in Corpus for awhile. I remember seeing his pic and name on the roster.

Cochino, it's obvious your mind is made up and nothing is going to make you see things differently but I'm going to put in my 2 cents worth anyway. Maybe your definition of recruiting and the real definition of recruiting aren't the same. Recruiting ala division I college football is real recruiting. The kids get flown to wherever, treated like royalty when they get there, put up in expensive hotels, are given certain things allowed by the NCAA (and commonly a few things that aren't). They, as well as their families are promised all kinds of things and then the alumni come rolling in with the ole "loaded handshakes" and promises of more if the kid will commit. There are hundreds of other recruiting tactics used that we won't even get into. Now on the other hand....a high school coach telling a kid that he would like for him to play football at his school and saying he would get more looks from scouts and have a better shot at a scholarship is, IMO, just telling the kid the truth when it is in fact true. You make it sound like Danaher is driving around in a rented van and throwing pillow cases over kids' heads and stuffing them inside then making them play at Calallen. Think about this.....Calallen's is arguably the most scrutinized program in South Texas with people everywhere trying to bring it down. Do you really think Danaher has been getting away with breaking UIL rules for the last 25 years? When you live under a microscope, you tend to keep things pretty clean. The penalty is just too great to risk it.

Recruiting extras is what got SMU the Death Penalty and also resulted in Reggie Bush being stripped of his Heisman Trophy. A High School Coach talking to kids is being a successful coach. Giving the kid and family extras is crossing the line. I have never seen any of that going on here. That did happen up in SLC last year. The UIL denied eligibility to the kid from Oklahoma.

Acusing a high school coach of recruiting (especially one from Calallen) is like me saying cochino is the Albert Einstein of High school football.... Usually, when someone is that smart, they don't have to keep telling everybody else how smart they are. But, I did say usually, we just happen to have an exception, in this case.

Ok I went to Cal and graduated from TM. My senior year our starting QB had transferred from GP to TM and was deemed eligible. 3 games into the season he moved to Cal to be their QB. He was deemed ineligible by UIL and told to move back to TM. This was not Danaher's doing, this was the doing of the father. Does Danaher run a program that kids want to play for? Most definitely... Has he in the past benefitted from a coach from TM moving to work for him when they have a stud athlete son? Definitely... Was it illegal? No way, I knew of the situation and TM screwed that coach over and blew it for that kid. Has Danaher benefitted from other kids transferring from areas all over? Absolutely. Did Morris befit at Carroll for transfers and the "magnet" school label ccisd had on every school back then? Absolutely... Has every quality school had a transfer come in from a lesser known school so they can be noticed? Absolutely... Is it wrong? Possibly the parents are wrong but if it helps them not pay for college then why not? My point is this, every quality program has a reputation for being a quality program and parents want their kids to play for them. It is not recruiting. I have met with Danaher to possibly work for the man, and I even went to church with him and several other coaches from Calallen. They knew I was a coach for other schools and they were always down to earth. The man may be a drill sergeant for his program and may be extremely hard on the kids, but he gets results and discipline from his players, BUT he is not a cheater.
The refs may cheat other teams but not Danaher ;-) .... Just kidding Cal guys
