It's just a little baiting.....FB has more than ONE player coming back......... We know that, but does King? Oh yeah, and don't forget the super bowl scrimmage, when Bisby runs wild on you're 3rd string defense. Too funny! Obviously you don't know anything about what Bisby did against FB's FIRST team defense. He ran for 160 yards on just 8 carries and a 70-yard TD on the very first carry of the scrimmage, plus several other runs of over 25 yards. But, it wasn't as bad as the 231 yards he put on the Coyotes. He also put up 178 yards on Calallen, 195 yards on Calhoun, and 151 yards on a very good Leander Rouse defense. The Bluff didn't even have 151 yards total offense vs Rouse with all those "weapons" they claimed to have had. So, don't take pokes at Bisby when you have no idea what you're talking about. And guess what? I'll give you a hint...he's going to be even better this season!

FB had 109 players on the roster for the spring game tonight, 52 seniors. I liked what we saw. FBFAN, help me out here. You say 52 Srs on the spring game roster??? Why would Srs be on a spring game roster when their HS playing days are finished? Do you mean 52 Seniors to be in the upcoming Fall?? Will be seniors in the season. They had Sophs - Seniors.

For a spring game? Most schools have the JV kids play in the spring game too. Guyer had 124 players between varsity and JV last year, so I could easily see how you'd get 109 in the spring game. We play all of our kids in the Spring Game......including the freshman who will be sophomores in the Fall. I bleieve last year we had about 180 kids or so out there (all but outgoing Srs). The only kids that do not get to play are the ones that are 'proven' players at their positions coming into their Sr year. In other words, kids who started the previous year that are a lock at their position in the upcoming season. Our coach will not take the chance of having one get hurt in a spring game. Same with G-P. Our Spring game is tonight and many of the returning starters are only going to play 1-2 series tops. The coaches really are trying to look at all the upcoming players to see who can contribute on the varsity level this upcoming season. We'll be scrimmaging with all of our freshman, sophomores, and juniors who will be sophomores to seniors next fall.

It's a lot for 4A around here. Ah, okay. Up in DFW 109 wouldn't be considered that many. Programs like Guyer, Aledo, and Rider (technically not DFW but playing in a DFW district) would top that easily. Even a program like Lake Dallas, which isn't a big school for 4A, has enough kids to field two JV teams. And up in the Panhandle Amarillo's numbers are ridiculous. Of course they're a borderline 5A, as is Guyer.

Yeah, that was what I meant. The kids who will play JV in the fall participate in the spring game, which includes the rising sophomores who were on the freshman team. In Guyer's spring game last year, whichever team Jerrod Heard was on got smashed largely because the rules were that when you touch Heard, he's down, meaning he couldn't use his elusiveness. The team that had Heard's backup (who would start for a lot of teams, by the way) did not have that handicap.

It's a lot for 4A around here. FB is super 6a . 1 laredo trip next year is great for the kids. Fb to Laredo is what a 3 hr drive??? 3-1/2 with stops.. 7 hrs on the road for a 35 pt win . j/k laredo.. I hear Martin is making noise over there! We should know more about them after the Del Rio scrimmage with the new coach. Looking forward to the outcome and then they face Winn and there new coach. The ground game features a thousand yd back. Face Roma in another good one. Also face United South and there new coach in his 2nd year, QB was like 10 away from a thousand yds rushing. RB they had last year ran wild too. All run teams in the Southwest, heck even SA Southwest run it.

How did your sub-varsities do last year? Yeah, I think you know the answer. My original post was directed at King, saying one man (Mimms) makes the team, which is a retarded statement.

G-P had 106 players on the field. Not bad considering F B has a lot more kids in school. Lol

After further review, here are my Top Ten: 1. Denton Guyer 2. Cedar Park 3. Wichita Falls Rider 4. Aledo 5. John Tyler 6. Lucas Lovejoy 7. Whitehouse 8. Pearland Dawson 9. Humble Summer Creek 10. Flour Bluff I really don't see Flour Bluff in the top ten. Top 25, sure. I agree. The only Coastal Bend team that should even be considered for a top 10 ranking is Calhoun with all their returning starters. The Bluff will be a question mark based solely on who their starting QB will be and how he performs. It will be difficult for them to replace Mims. Calallen should be in the mix with their great defense, but their offensive performance is their big question mark. That's why I believe out of those 3 teams beginning the season, only Calhoun should be considered for a top 10 pre-season ranking.
