At Buc stadium Friday 10/26. Both with no losses in district. FB 7-0. Ray with only one 1 point loss to King in an early season game. This could be a very good game as Ray looks to be getting better by the week. Winner has the inside track for the DC crown. Hornets need to be all business all week. CPH at 212.

Didn't think this would be the district championship, but here it is. Could be a shoot out?

Pass defense got a tune up tonight. Until last night Ray had given up almost 28 pts/game. Should be a good game. Offense has been much sharper. Penalities were down in the game. 6-40. 35 yards on subs. Offense didn't get much work. Good to see Gaines run the ball. Mims had 2 carries for 116 and two TDs. Mims had two blocks down field on Beauregard TD run. Ray won't be Cigarroa but FB won't be Martin either.

Ray came from nowhere to contend in this district. This will be a good game at a good time for both teams.

Ray's offense has become more balanced as the season progresses. I haven't seen the box score from last night, but they were pretty even on rushing and passing for the season. This will be a great game and a prelude into what we will see in the playoffs. This is the type of offense we had fits with last year. Our D will definitely be the fastest they have seen this year and I have confidence they will respond. Steinbruck has this group hitting on all cylindars with about 15 kids rotating in. We really have a lot of talent some of which doesn't get to play that much but when they do, they shine.
Our O has come around and is playing with confidence. We just need to hit the short stuff and then work out to the long ball. We have had 12 kids score TD's this year so we are spreading the ball around nicely...14 receiving TD's and 13 rushing...hard to get more balanced than that. Ray's D will be the best we have faced since Alice. I think we just have too many weapons and too much speed for them. We have improved every game and I'm thinking this Ray game will be our defining moment.

Anyone read Whitaker's quote in the CCT today regarding VW's speed?

Ray's only loss was by one pt (21-20) to King. They still give up alot of pts. Kids should be really up for this one.

Ray lost that game in the last minute....they had a FG blocked and then King scored on a 90+ yard TD pass to JJ Dallas.

I have seen both teams this year. Fb SHOULDN'T have a problem scoring. FB defense will be able to stop Ray. Texans will get their pts, but in the end FB wins 41-27

Anyone read Whitaker's quote in the CCT today regarding VW's speed? VW spreads you out with three and four receivers than they try misdirection runs or pass if they break the line of scrimmage and The DBS or LBS miss the first tackle they do have speed to break long runs the fastest team I seen Calhoun play this year.. Calhoun adjusted well in the second half... now back to the thread FB wins a close one ........................
