Yeah that's lucky, especially Ryan and Richland at home to hopefully keep our district win streak alive. And late enough in the season so if we lose then well, we deserved it. Should be an exciting season! I'm glad that we scheduled two strong teams in non-district play. To be honest I don't even know what number the district streak is at. We are getting closer to 120 I think. But Aledo has several other streaks I care about more. I'm 99% sure it's 119. What other streaks are you interested in? The overall 30 win streak? That one looks dicey with a new QB and good non-district opponents. Back to back championships? I don't know off the top of my head how many years in a row they've been to the playoffs, is that 29? Or something else interesting I'm not thinking of? Edit: I'm 100% sure it's 119. I found an article talking about it being at 111 going into district play this year, so it would be 119 now. Also it looks like the playoffs streak is 28.

Thanks! Yeah I just do it from the stands, usually over by the band where my daughter plays. My two sons are usually at the game with me, and they help call out things like minutes remaining or what player caught the TD pass or whatever, which allows me to put the data in more quickly and accurately and not get behind on plays. Sometimes I even let them run it later in the game. Fun thing to work at together. That sounds like a great time, all of yall getting involved. Thank you btw. Seems like you enjoy it and makes me feel better about using MaxPreps numbers when I break stuff down in the game threads. Thanks, we do have a lot of fun with it, and it's good to know that others are able to benefit from it. Especially for away games, which we enjoy traveling to as well. I've seen that lots of other teams are lucky to have their score posted on MaxPreps the night of the game, let alone a full play by play. We are also very lucky as a fanbase to have things like Hank FM doing an excellent radio broadcast. What percentage of high school football teams have that? Incidentally, I have a streak on the line as well, we're 30-0 since I started reporting the games. I haven't missed any games, but before I was the permanent reporter, I had someone beat me to the punch a couple times. So one time I signed up to report for the other team, and the other time I just had to sit on my thumbs at the game. And the two losses at the beginning of 2022 I was there but I didn't yet know about reporting on MaxPreps. So I'm actually 28-0 or 29-0 depending on how you look at it.

Current Aledo streaks (in the order I care about them) 1. Consecutive playoff appearances- 28 2. Consecutive 1st round playoff wins- 28 3. Consecutive 10+ win seasons- 18 4. Consecutive seasons above .500- 30 5. Consecutive district games win streak- 119 6. Consecutive game win streak-30ย *Aledo was the first program to 3-peat twice. We have the opportunity to be the only program in Texas to do it 3 times.ย ย

Week 1 at Denton Guyer Week 2 vs Lancaster Week3 at Brewer Week 4 vs Birdville Week 5 at Fossil Ridge Week 6 vs Denton Ryan Week 7 at Granbury Week 8 Bye Week Week 9 vs Richland Week 10 at Azle Week 11 vs Denton I don't think they would do this because the game is in October but I'd love for Aledo to make Denton Ryan the homecoming game! I really appreciate when schools pick tough opponents for that game instead of easy wins. I think it would set a tone for the season. Having said all that, most likely they will pick Birdville a couple of weeks earlier.

We will be a young team needing to fully focus on the DR game, no homecoming distractions needed.

Well for sure, Aledo has won every homecoming game since 2007, don't know how many in a row before that.

Well for sure, Aledo has won every homecoming game since 2007, don't know how many in a row before that.ย I tried to research and find that out, but couldn't. On a completely unrelated note, but something I stumbled on while trying to figure out the homecoming thing, it appears that Aledo just put together the 112th ever 16-0 season. That's obviously only been possible since about 20 years ago, and not all divisions started playing 16 games right away, though even 2A-2 plays 16 games today. There are about 1200 teams in Texas, so that's a lot of seasons played in that time. Aledo owns 5 of the 112 16 win seasons. It would be interesting to go back and look at exactly how many divisions played how many games in which years, but given that there are a max of 10 state champions per year across a max of 20 years, and 112 16 game winners, that means you're pretty dang likely to win 16 games if you win the championship.

Another fun fact. Our district win streak at 119 is 44 games ahead of the second longest district win streak in Texas, which was Katy at 75 games. The second longest *active* streak is Newton at 73 games. So if we lost our next district game and Newton kept winning, it would still take them 6 years to catch us.
Also: All time, most playoff wins: 1. Refugio - 143 2. Mart - 138 3. Katy - 130 4. Southlake Carroll - 127 5. Aledo - 125
And, I'm sure we all know Aledo had the highest scoring offense in national history. But it also owns 6 of the top 62.

Obviously, this will depend on how healthy we are but I am confident that we will win state at least once of the next two seasons. Our current sophomore class is extremely talented.
