Coach Matt Green been there and done that. This ain't his first Rodeo. He was OC at Lake Travis 2008-2010. He left Lucas Lovejoy for Marble Falls because his fiancé was there and Coach Todd Dodge was leaving. Llano is not a football powerhouse and Coach Craig Slaughter who left for Wall had a record of 19-36 at Llano. He has coached a couple of successful QB's in Michaël Brewer and Garrett Gilbert whom UT made the mistake of recruiting instead of Coach Eric Sosa. Cool beans

I shall expound on that. Beeville took Lake Travis to the wire in their playoff game. Eric Sosa played both ways as QB and DB. Eric Sosa had football character. He made good decisions and Garrett Gilbert did not and that is why UT dumped him.
UT versus Alabama.
The only scores in the third quarter of 2010 BCS title game were a pair of touchdowns tossed by Garrett Gilbert, self-assured 44- and 28-yarders to Shipley, the second followed by a dart of a two-point conversion completion. After starting the game with a miserable stat line of 4-of-22, 48 yards and two interceptions, Gilbert proceeded to complete 10-of-14 passes for 120 yards and the two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Alabama didn't put any points on the board for nearly the entire second half. The scoreboard was stuck at 24-21 as the game's final minutes approached. Then ...
"We had it down to three points and then they brought a backside blitz," Mack Brown recalls with great detail when his team was beginning a would-be game-winning drive, with 83 yards to the end zone, 3:08 on the clock and two timeouts at their disposal.
"Garrett didn't see that blitz. He got hit in the back and fumbled. They recovered it at the three. Dangit."
What if someone in a white and burnt orange jersey had picked up blitzing linebacker Eryk Anders, the first sack surrendered by Texas all night? What if Gilbert's arm had one more fraction of a second to settle into its forward-throwing motion, making the loose ball an incomplete pass instead of a fumble?
And oh yeah, what if Colt McCoy hadn't gotten hurt and been in the game?
I recall better than Coach Mack Brown. It was obvious that Alabama had a unblocked defensive end to Garrett Gilberts left. Garrett Gilbert had to see this unblocked end. The coaches in the press box had to see him and should have called a timeout. Garett Gilbert was slow getting rid of the ball and got hit and fumbled. UT had the better team. Garret Gilbert had botched a shovel pass and gave SC the ball earlier. UT was in the Red Zone when Garrett Gilbert fumbled. Garrett Gilbert had a strong accurate throwing arm but did not have it between the ears.

Dang Marion was 2-4 before this game and not very good. I sure though Llano was going to win this one against the Bulldogs

Llano went from setting records in winning district to 5th in district and missing the playoffs. The Coaches son may not get a scolie.

I have a idea they are happy with their DC. Up until this year they had a record of straight District Championships. They also had a lot of shut outs of the opponent's. They have a down year kind of like Alice has had.
