Burnet 47 Llano 12 Llano not going undefeated through district this year. Looks like Llano isn't nearly as good as last year for sure at this point. And Dang And LaVernia beat Burnet by 3 scores. Maybe LV is better than I'm giving them credit for at this point.

Burnet 47 Llano 12 Llano not going undefeated through district this year. Looks like Llano needs a new DC. Seriously though these small town teams are in the middle of nowhere. No transfers and they have to play with the kids they have, and some years those kids are only so good.

Llano is an interesting Hill country town. Great BBQ at Coopers, but I have noticed that the town all has the same skin tone. It really bothers me when I see that. One of my coaching colleagues and good friends refuses to stop there because he had a very bad run in driving through there because he's black.

I work with a dude that went to Randolph, so I'm pulling for them to get the District Championship. I have not watched any of these teams play but it looks like an interesting District battle this year!

Llano 53 Luling 13 still warming up to beat Halletsville in the play offs. I should pull for Hallestville as that is where my great grand father lived when he came from Alabama and great grandma from Illinois. They got married there after he came back from the Civil war. He is buried at Fitzhugh near Dripping Springs.

Much like 5a D1, R4 is a cakewalk compared to what R3 teams have to deal with to get to round 5! Hallettsville has a lot more great teams to try and get through to get to the semis than what Llano does. Hell, there are 4 teams in D12 that are better than any Llano has faced to this point If Llano gets to the semis, they will have their hands full!

Coach Matt Green been there and done that. This ain't his first Rodeo. He was OC at Lake Travis 2008-2010. He left Lucas Lovejoy for Marble Falls because his fiancé was there and Coach Todd Dodge was leaving. Llano is not a football powerhouse and Coach Craig Slaughter who left for Wall had a record of 19-36 at Llano. He has coached a couple of successful QB's in Michaël Brewer and Garrett Gilbert whom UT made the mistake of recruiting instead of Coach Eric Sosa.
