I really like seeing the maps. It looks to me that Ft. Bend Hightower should opt up to 6A and stay with the same Ft. Bend teams they have been playing, none of which are that much bigger than they are. I also see that there's a good chance that FB Willowridge and Marshall won't opt up and stay D2 as I don't see any good reason not to do so and they could be grouped with Houston ISD D2'S. This would be good news for LCISD schools as they wouldn't have to travel so far. FBISD has just 1 stadium, so 3 districts for 11 schools could be too much strain. I agree that it makes more sense for to opt 1 up to 6A to keep the others D2.

R3 ahead of R2 only bc of the Dallas schools. Then R3 then R4. Absolutely agree.. but I think you ment R1 then R4. Yes. I wasn’t looking and thought of D2’s R1, which is the weakest of the 8.

I really like the idea of Aledo region 2! Gives new life to all those region 1 teams. It would be good to see who is the best with Aledo out of the way. None of them. Move them out of region 1 and most aren't playoff teams.

Mercer has 10,000 capacity and Hall about 9,000. I have been to both.

Not to throw a wrench into your efforts, but I heard from a pretty reliable source in the LISD that all the 5a Austin ISD schools will be opting up to be 5a DI. Sounds like this is going to be a cluster when the dust actually clears.

It’s still tough with 11 teams and not getting to centrally control all of the schedules.

Might as well have made D1 for multi-HS ISDs and D2 for single-school ISDs at this rate.

Sounds like this is going to be a cluster when the dust actually clears. I have to question why an ISD would want to opt up schools if they didn't have to for geographical reasons. Scheduling in all sports is an easy fix because your schools that opt up can still play the ones that didn't in non district. It kind of defeats the whole purpose for this split thing.
