What do you think will happen if GP goes 8-3 0r 9-3 again? Going 9-3 may sound good but not winning district you play the high seed while the district champ is playing the low seed.

Are GP fans disappointed with the Davis era so far? Underwhelmed with how GP has performed under Davis? 8-3 8-4 9-3 Pretty good Wins are wins for sure but let's be honest here with who most of those wins have come against. GP opponents and record below the last 3 years 0-3 Boerne 0-2 Alamo Heights 0-1 CCVM 1-3 Flour Bluff 1-2 Calallen 24-0 King, McAllen, Mission VM, Moody, Ray, Roma, SW Legacy, VW, PLC, Edcouch, Mercedes, Porter, Valley View, Carroll, VE 2-11 against the 5 best teams on their schedule the last 3 years is not very good.

Second place plays third seed while 1st plays 4th Correct And I believe the 1 & 4 teams go on one side of the bracket and the 2 & 3 teams go to the other. But if AH wins their district the 2 & 3 teams from D14 would be on that same side of the bracket for R4 so the #2 team out of 14 would line up in the 3rd round against AH if both teams advance.

You are right it does not look that good. But 4 of the games were close - a play or two converted could translate into a 6-5 record. Either way - every year is different, every year is an opportunity to do your best with what you got as kids coming through - returning 2 on defense could be a problem for GP but time will tell how GP evolves. But thanks for putting it together- I know it takes time to put together the facts

Pico thank you for getting to the truth. The GP posters with tunnel vision hate the truth. You can’t I fix a problem if you don’t see the problem. These poster with tunnel vision “Cain’t see the forest for the trees”.
Thank you, I tip my GP ball cap to you.

There are some good teams within that 24-0 record, though. VW, VE, PLC seems to stick out to me. Other local teams have numbers in the L column against those same teams during this same timeframe. So I'll stick up for GP in that sense. That said, 2-11 against the best of the best on the schedule... that's the elephant in the room for sure. Gotta step up in those games to make a case for yourself. This season will be interesting...

No doubt VE, VW, and PLC were not bad the last 3 years but they were far from some of the better teams each school has fielded. VE went 18-15 the last 3 years VW went 18-18 PLC went 20-18

Them pesky little facts.... like the fact that Calallen had only 5 1st downs last year against GP You are still with that. You remind of the scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High when someone got caught in the bathroom in an obsessive situation with this five first downs nonsense.

If you hurry you can get you an "I am a Charlie's Angel" shirt that the Calallen boosters are selling. I heard they are half-priced after the last two scrimmages. Be sure and get a white one, it will go good with your GP ballcap.

Haven’t VW and Port Lavaca made regional finalist appearances during Davis tenure? I may be wrong just asking.

There has to be nuance to the these things also.

Not sure of the playoff in these 3 years. I think PLC did last year but it wasn't much of a game against new comer Davenport. I don't believe VW has been to a regional final in a while
