So what will Alice bring to the table next year? Will they have a good team? Thed do have a pretty salty coach. Last year Alice had a stud Linebacker if I remember correctly.

I don't like the endzone seating being removed. I understand they have their reasons I just don't agree with their reasons but I respect that it's their decision and I'm a nobody. You aren't just getting rid of endzone seating you're getting rid of ATMOSPHERE. Those endzone seats are part of, "The Alice Experience". And also important is they represent 2k worth of seats. That matters even more when you're replacing a stadium that seats 7500 with a stadium that only seats 6000. I understand the, "you can't see track runners around the curves of the stadium", argument but I don't think you design a football stadium based off 2 track meets you have a year at that stadium. Just my opinion. Runners disappeared because of the terrible lights, not the bleachers. Lol. J/k. The lighting was terrible but it'll be good in 2026. Hopefully they get something like what T-M got.

They lost a bunch of starters but I'm sure this coach and staff will field a good team. The QB is a very good dual threat so that'll help out a lot.

He will definitely be one of the best in the area.

Yep #25 returns at MLB and he can take it to the house on the offensive side. So what will Alice bring to the table next year? Will they have a good team? Thed do have a pretty salty coach. I'm hearing good things about about Cruz. He's bigger and stronger and should be among the better Qb's in the area once again. Alice is loaded at the RB position withe Trejo returning as well as two stud sophomores and Alviar may see some playing time there as well. At wr, Peterson saw some playing time and Parsons, #1, #2 and 4 will fill in as well and probably see time in the secondary. It's going to be hard to replace Mingo and and Davenport on the defensive line , but the backups did see some playing time since those kids went both ways. I look for Alice to start out slow and get better as the season progresses. I'll put up the Alice coaching staff against any program in in the area. They will have the kids ready.

Yes he’s a 3 year letter. They had him moved around on a couple of occasions last season which’ll be a positive for our Coyotes

Looking forward to the Midnight Madness coming up. This season will be interesting within the district we’re in with the RGV schools.
We got some studs that contributed on both sides of the ball last season in several roles, which should be starters this season. We lost an abundance of experience from last season due to graduation which paid their dividends from last season and the year before.
The main priority for the 2024 season is the offensive line. We lost 80% of the experience from last year with one returning starter, we had a couple of them who have experienced some game experience. I know Tinker will figure out the situation if the returnees & if they’re some sophomores who are ready to step up and protect & pave the way for the running game & Cruz.
Defensively we should be fine as wine - We return our defensive tackle, linebacker & free safety. We also saw a handful of reserves who stepped up in mop up time who should be in the lineup, like I said if they’re some dreamers who are believers & some sophomores who’ll step up they could have a say.
I know we’ll start off slow again like last season so we should find the stride when district, I know we may not have the experience like we did last season and the year before & do miss their presence, you gotta play with the deck of cards thats in hand. The new district is a challenge but I’m looking forward to this
“We gotta GOLDEN TICKET to defend & protect”

there was a good turnout of fans. overall my opinion was definitely looked better the last years opening practice, but new coach last year thats to be expected. qb looked good. running backs looked quick off the ball. looks like #25 from last year is gonna be the starter as of now. he looks a little thicker definitely will help him this year. recievers which will be young looked pretty decent catching and running routes. (better then i expected). o-line for the most part look a little leaner, good height, seems to be quicker off the ball. team seemed to move through stations well. i didnt see much defense because i had to go to work. the vib was good and u can tell discipline has been instilled in these boys. i wouldnt doubt by the end of the season this team can be rolling in the right direction.
info on the stadium i got this past weekend was good. didnt see any pics but he said he really hopes the city will be proud of it. they r gonna try to really make the overall look nice. its not confirmed but also looks like the 1700 extra seats they were gonna add later r gonna be included afterall. and there is a possibility that both softball and baseball fields get turf as well as new lights. so while 38 million in some eyes the stadium looks cheap. i think they r gonna really stretch the dollar and get as much as they can. oh! and people wont see it but there is gonna be things included in the new staduim that r unique as in technology for locker rooms that i doubt many stadiums in south texas will have. Some of them were headed to Sam Houston State to look at the construction going on there to see what they may be getting. ( but dont hold me to any of this if it doesnt happen.lol) i personally think they r trying to make sure they keep as much of alice’s old traditional things as they can while adding to generational ones. sorry for the long post.

Losing most of your starters matters and plays a part when you have a nonsense staff but what Alice has now is legit and I don't see Alice taking any kind of step backwards just because of the large amount of starters they lost. Slow start? Possibly. But this HC and staff will have them ready and they'll be legit by district play if not sooner. I really like Coach Tinker Villareal also. I thought losing that legit S&C Coach Alice had under Atwood would have Alice going backwards for awhile but I already like Tinker more than the Atwood dude. Tinker is definitely legit.

So what is the trade-off? PBK isn't just going to add 1700 seats to the stadium for free and PBK isn't just going to all of a sudden turf up the baseball and softball fields for free either. What is the stadium going to lose in order to make these other things happen?
