I'm not anti-Carroll but this dude and his ridiculous claims are gonna have Carroll getting trolled until his kid graduates and the dad isn't over the top anymore. Sure it wasn't 1995 Calallen but they did blowout Flour Bluff so people need to stop acting like it just flat out wasn't a good Calallen team. Leaving Calallen out of it Alice still beat a very talented Lampasas team and that tells me they're headed in the right direction. Had Alice not been without its 2 MVPs for the Calhoun game they would have been in round 4 at least. I’ve said nothing over the top. You had Carroll challenging for the district title back when we all thought the district would have Miller, G-P, Alice and Victoria West. That would be fine if you really believed that but you don't and you just proved it a few comments ago by admitting that 2024 won't even be as good as 2022 which wasn't very good itself.

The Tigers will be challenging for the DC in 2025 and beyond. 2024 is the step forward… making the playoffs, winning some regular season games that others wouldn’t expect, etc. Hard to predict 2024 without knowing who the qb will be.

If I'm not mistaken this was the stadium used as an example at the Alice board meeting as what Alice's home side of a new stadium would look like. I really like it. ya i like it also!!! i really hope hometown politics dont jack this up. i think if they could make a preview video model of what it would look like and start sharing it that might get people excited.

Yeah that's nice and all but not for a stadium that will only sit 5800. That's a bunch of BS.

A 5A2 team should have capacity for an absolute minimum of 7000 in my opinion. Cabaniss seats 8500, and it has the feel I like when attending a 5A game. GP’s Akins seats 8000… same feel.
Alice should shoot for 7500 min, maybe even 8000.

GP doesn't fill their stadium but Alice would be a good fit for playoff games . Some teams use Javelina stadium.

A problem Alice is going to have getting the votes for a new stadium is there is way too many Aliceans ignorant on the subject of stadiums and stadium costs. There's people not understanding why it's $40 million for a 5800 seat stadium when Melissa built a stadium for $35 million that seats 10,000 (it was actually $50 million from what someone told me not only $35 million). People that run the Alice social media accounts might not like me but if they were smart they would keep up with my South Texas Bloodsport page so they can see what the concerns are from those that don't want the new stadium. When you see these inaccurate comments AISD should be engaging in the comments and correcting the person that is sharing the misinformation. They don't.
Look even I was one of the idiots that changed my mind about a new stadium when I first saw the layout but I was wrong. It was an instant reaction out of emotion. How can I judge a stadium based on a stick figure graphic lol. This architect firm needs to hurry and put out a computer 3D rendering of what the stadium would look like so that the naysayers can see it and hopefully start to understand and accept why the price tag is what it is.

I hear the next bond will be for renovating the current stands double decker type stands but keeping the visitors Deer blind. lol

why is it so difficult for the citizens of Alice to understand the city needs a new stadium? were they under the impression the stadium was going to last forever? Alice needs 50mil for the stadium period. the only thing left is to decide where and seating capacity. school taxes will increase but it is what it is.
