It's that time again the annual whineathon about having the SC games at AT&T which is the premier facility in Texas that players deserve and prefer. Never mind having them all in one place allows them to all be televised so the whole state can watch. Never mind when moved to Houston the crowds were far smaller than at AT&T. Never mind the distance argument was debunked when West Texas was included. But hey have a good cry AGAIN get it all out of your system. Pat, pat there, there.

So no other stadium is equipped with tech to broadcast games? Dang then how do all the college games get broadcast? Interesting.... only jerryworld is equipped to do that... well all be dog gone I didn't realize Kyle field and the sec, DKR, McLane Stadium, Cougar Stadium, the Alamodome and all the other college stadiums were so far into the stone age!!! Daggum!!! They must just send dinosaurs with drawings on Saturdays to our tvs then orsomething to give us them pictures on our screens.... or maybe it's them there satellites way high in space zooming in so we can see them there Foosball games on Saturdays!!!! Why heck I reckon I better go open my winders so that dinosaur can bring that there picture in this weekend since jerryworld is the only place that has the ability to broadcast.... πππ€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£

All the 5A and 6A have a definite Advantage. Plus Gunter over Tidehaven. The rest are fairly normal for most travel during a season. To have a 3-4 hour travel time vs less than an hour negates the Idea of a true neutral site for one of the participants. Most if not all the teams with long drives go up a day early any way so it's really not that big a deal. Hasn't been for North Shore over the years. If you think there is not a difference between going up the day before and spending the night in a hotel room rather than driving to the stadium in a bus a couple hours before kickoff from an hour or so away, you are very wrong on it. It is not easy to do and you can pick someone like North Shore for an example and it works in your statement but it is not complete and or true. Some of the NS teams that have won it could have flown around the world the previous 2 days, landed at DFW, went to the stadium, suited up, and won it. They were simply that good and that talented and well coached. This is not college where they are used to flying up somewhere the day before and staying in a hotel and playing the next day.

If and when your team gets there and has to play Aledo or another DFW team that is 30 minutes or less away, then you might understand the difference!

Congrats to Both Benjamin (1a d2) and Timpson (2a d1) on their state titles as well as to Oglesby and Tolar for getting there.
I honestly thought the Tolar/Timpson game was going to be competitive after seeing Ganado play Timpson pretty damn well last week. Tolar has a really good running game and I thought they'd have much more success against Timpson controlling clock and pounding on them. Hats off to Timpson and a great job defensively in that game.

I watched Tolar dominate Hamilton early in the year and surprised at Timpson dominating Tolar.

I can also add Refugio, Shiner, WO-S, Gilmer, Carthage, Cuero and a few more who have made that journey to Arlington. Yea it's hard for the schools and coaches but the kids seem to handle it ok. I also believe the games should rotate between SA, Houston and DFW to be fair, but I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon.

Don't get me wrong, AT&T is an amazing venue without a doubt and a great place to have the games. But it is just too far for me to go to watch the games live which I'd love to do and would if any would be played in the Alamo Dome. Then you think about the great fans of the Coastal Bend and the RGV on how much further it is for them to do this. Yes, it is a cool place to play for the kids no doubt but honestly, does anyone think any of these kids truly care where they are playing when it comes to the State Title Game? Hell no, they would be glad to play in it anywhere. Like I've said many times, just split it up and play these games in 3 or 4 different spots every year and rotate which games are at each spot every year. I bet if you asked North Shore and Summer Creek and they'd prefer to be playing their games at NRG this Saturday against their two district 11 opponents that have 30 minute drives to AT&T! The same could be said for PNG I bet to!
