I think people are much more tired of Aledo. Outside of casuals you’d be surprised. My team lost to Aledo in the State Championship and I have no ill will towards them. Great program. The Aledo players made sure to pay their respects to the Calallen players and even the fans stuck around and came over to tell our fans how great our football team was. I can’t speak for everyone but it left me with a lasting respect for Aledo. As long as they are the best I hope they keep winning. Aledo played Calallen my senior year and that was a tough 1 score game up till the end. Would have been story book for Calallen to win that title but they went up against the only team that could beat them that year. They were really punching up because I believe Aledo had nearly 400 kids advantage on them.

It’s been quite a while since my team went head to head with SV, but I’ve never heard anything bad about them. Why the negativity? They seem like a respectable program. Yea I don’t get it……. Now Alamo Heights is a different story. Communists and Alamo Heights can go to Hell.

Communists and Alamo Heights can go to Hell. Why the hate for heights? What did they do? Some of its been a running joke for years, some of it is just bad experiences with AH fans.

I’ve never had a bad experience with Heights fans, but I also realize everyone’s experience may be different. Mine have been pleasant interactions.

I need dirt. it’s simple no one likes Alamo Heights that doesn’t live in Alamo Heights, I work in that area a lot and the parents can be nice but not all the time, very self entitled, and the kids in HS are snobs. I’m 10 yrs removed from school but when I was in school and we played against AH in any sport they always complained and weren’t quite sportsmanlike.

So basically Westlake/Southlake/Woodlands of San Antonio. Affluent area with pretentious attitude. Nothing original. Shame. I was expecting scandals.

Some of its been a running joke for years, some of it is just bad experiences with AH fans. Bad experiences you say? Do tell. I have a couple coworkers that went to heights. I need dirt. I was moved up to varsity for the playoffs my freshman and sophomore year, so my 4 seasons ended with losses to Alamo Height, Tivy, Bay City, and Pflugerville Connally. I walked away with high levels of respects for Tivy and Bay City. Connally was up 20-7 on the last play and faked a knee then they tried throwing TD pass, so I’m not a fan of the, but they were fine other than that. Alamo Heights played the dirtiest game I’ve experienced in HS. Is what it is. But some 10 years later my brother was playing junior league baseball and ended up in the State Championship game. They played the Alamo Heights LL. Oil Belt, which is the Calallen team won pretty handily and when the final out was made, a few of the AH kids ran out into the field and tried joining into the dog pile just to be douches. After listening to others experiences, it seems to be a running theme with them. Obviously it doesn’t mean everyone from there is that way, but it’s enough to keep us atleast joking about hating them for awhile After hearing everyone else’s stories about AH, it makes sense.

As a Boerne resident, I hope Aledo demolishes them, lol. Its been quite a while since my team went head to head with SV, but I’ve never heard anything bad about them. Why the negativity? They seem like a respectable program. I already answered it above…..
