6A: 2285+ (249 schools) 5A: 1310-2284 (249 schools) 5A D1: 1905-2284 (124 schools) 5A D2: 1310-1904 (125 schools) UIL could max this thing out by filling up 6A and dropping 5A below 1300. But this feel much more natural. If you had to wager on a range for 4A, what would the cutoffs be, you reckon? Personally, I'm hoping for 4A D2 to start at 600 - 939, and 4A D1 940 - 1309 Using those ranges, how many schools would fall into each division?

There are rule changes regarding opt ups that have me confused. I would currently say 560-959ish and 960ish-1309.

Like, San Antonio YMLA for example?

There are rule changes regarding opt ups that have me confused. I would currently say 560-959ish and 960ish-1309. Does this have to do with charter schools in larger school districts? Like, San Antonio YMLA for example? Mainly the new rule stating a school district can't have schools more than 2 classes apart (so no 6A and 3A). In Dallas, Madison has 3A numbers. If Madison is opted up by rule, how does that affect non-DISD charters? The charter rule states they "can" be placed in the lowest conference of the school district they reside in. Translation: these 4 charters were 3A with Madison. If Madison moves up, do they move up? Apparently DISD is opting its 4AD2 schools up to D1. Will Madison go up there too? Will the charters be forced up there as well? This will have a ripple effect on the numbers.

As for football, I believe the rules would have them be opted up to the classification the lowest populated school within the district resides. So if the next lowest populated school happened to be in 4A D2, that's where Madison would go. Only reason I think this is the case is because San Antonio YMLA, despite having borderline 3A D1/D2 numbers is forced to opt up to 4A D2 because of one of the public schools in San Antonio (Sam Houston, I think) having 4A D2 numbers.

Yup And it looks like Longview is back in 6a as they turned in 2280 which makes them the smallest in 6a other than any opt ups. 5a D1 just got a little bit easier in that region for everyone else.

Using rtxc1βs previous 4AD1 mock. I think Region 4 will look like this pending opt-ups. District 13 Burnet Fredericksburg Jarrell Lampasas Marble Falls Taylor District 14 Austin Eastside Austin Johnson Austin Northeast Austin Travis Canyon Lake Davenport District 15 Calhoun Beeville Edgewood Kennedy Floresville La Vernia Pleasanton District 16 Hidalgo Tuloso-Midway Calallen Zapata

I understood the word out of Desoto was they were going to opt up to stay in their district with CH, D'Ville, etc???

Please use promotions and relegations. I do not believe the enrollment numbers. 12 divisions are too many.

My strong district already beat 3 other weak schools very bad games in last 2 realignment. I never watched them play and saved my money from buying tickets.

When they got placed in the east Texas district when it was still 5a still the biggest class.
