So far calpreps agrees with you but games as we all know are played on the field. Calpreps needs to quit sniffing glue. They've been pretty accurate at this time in years past, but they are definitely having an off year up to this point. Yup No doubt about it. Kind of strange really. I put how I thought they laid out as of today which means absolutely nothing. We all know that some teams turn it up and turn it on now and just get better and tougher each round while others will fizzle out at times. I think the teams I've picked though are the only ones with really a chance to win the region. I just don't see any other D1 5a teams at that level this year. Of course I threw this together before that FB/GP game. If it'd been after I likely leave GP off the list. Everyone can have one terrible game so lets see how they respond against Roma this week.

Of the teams listed I feel like Pieper is definitely playing the most consistent football.
Liberty Hill is my favorite team on the list as I am friends with the OC having coached at San Marcos together. But they have huge issues on defense.
FB and GP confuse the heck out of me with what is going on with them. Is FB going to play Luke they did vs Calallen or LUS, or are they going to play like they did vs GP and Boerne? Is GP going to play like they did vs Calallen or vs FB and Boerne?

Hahaha Hilarious man. I do agree that district 13 is hands down the district with the most good teams in it. I don't think that is even close. But, let's be honest about it and say that LH and Pieper are the two teams with legit shots at a regional title this year. Lockhart and SAVM are not going to play for a regional title. Good they are, but not regional title good. And then to say with the exception of one other team,,,,,AH? Sure glad he didn't forget to mention LH or FB in his breakdown albeit for a fleeting instance. lmao Everything they do is to sell subscriptions. Mission VM, Burbank, and Pioneer have absolutely no chance to win the region this year..... 0

The Hornets are buzzing not brimming. LMAO I honestly thought he was going to miss FB in his report altogether there for a little bit! I just having a really, really hard time with how high of a pedestal AH has been put on. They very well may be right but for me there is simply no way to judge just how good or not they are with the 9 district teams they've played. And to be perfectly honest even though that was the 1st game of the year their win over Seguin in a shootout did not impress me at all.

Seguin was shockingly bad on defense vs Champion and easily shut down their O.

Seguin was shockingly bad on defense vs Champion and easily shut down their O. The other thing still bothering me about AH at this point is even in a few of their district games, they didn't dominate inferior teams and let them hang around. Though they ended up winning all those games by at least 21 points. The score of their Burbank game was 34-14 midway through the 3rd. Harlandale was only down to AH at the half 25-20. And just last week Sam Houston was only down to them 28-14 at the half. To me, that doesn't scream out dominant type of team at all. I honestly look to Lockhart to really push AH this week and be in the game with them until halftime or even well into the third. Lockhart put up pretty damn good fights against both SAVM and even Liberty Hill. The only team that really dominated them this year was Pieper winning by 4 scores. The Lockhart/AH game really has me watching

My thoughts after last weeks games are like this as of today. 1 Pieper 2/3 FB/LH, LH/FB 4 AH 5 GP I honestly still don't have a good feel for AH at this point. Their one non-district game 11 weeks ago was against a mediocre Seguin team and they had to win it in a shootout. That was week 1 so it doesn't mean anything and now they've played 9 average to below average teams since so there is really no way to gauge them. I'm anxious to see how well AH handles Lockhart this week. If they can't beat LH by 3 scores, I don't think they are a top 3 in the region. I have Pieper at #1 simply because they have a very balanced offense and a really good defense. They have good size up front on both sides of the ball and that defensive front gets after it. I was actually a little surprised Pieper had as much success running the ball on LH as they did. I almost have to believe that FB's offense may give them more trouble than LH's did simply because of FB's passing game. So, I'm pulling for FB to win that side of the bracket and set up a regional final with them. FB will meet up with SAVM in round 2 and that one has the potential to be a pretty good game but see FB winning by 2-3 scores. LH has a cakewalk to round 3......LITTERALLY as does Pieper to the same round. I love LH but they've been struggling this year. Have to put Pieper and AH clearly ahead of them for now. Hope they can get it turned around, but that Pieper game was a blowout. So far calpreps agrees with you but games as we all know are played on the field.

Alamo Heights stock rose for me a couple notches last night. I hate to say this and it truly pains me but I'm buying a few shares today. Both FB and GP did what they were supposed to do and to me there is no way to gauge anything against those two teams they played. They took care of business so I'm holding on em. Pieper D pitched a shutout but man, only 33 points. I sold a share of their stock today after that offensive show. LH put up only 43 points on Harlandale? And allowed 26 to them? Wow, I'm selling some stock right now after that!
AH 69 Lockhart 21 Pieper 33 SA Sam Houston 0 FB 52 PSJA Mem 21 GP 55 Roma 17 LH 43 SA Harlandale 26
This week: I'm taking AH over GP by 17 Pieper over Mission VM by 30 FB over SAVM by 7 LH over Pioneer by 11
