Not that it matters, but NBC, SV, and Wagner have played with 6A numbers both years.

Thereโs no doubt that Champion has joined the top tier with Wagner and SV. Seguin has also seen a large drop off.

As long as Smithson Valley rolls out that defense each week there is no one in the district going to beat them. (only given up a total of 69 pts all season, #2 in district in points allowed is Wagner at 109) And everyone keeps talking about how bad their offense is but they have still scored over 200 points on the season.
You can all say what you want about how Wagner should have won if not for their own mistakes, Canyon gave them all they could handle, They "sputtered against Lehman" Harker Heights should have won...... At the end of the day SV should be undefeated.
One point loss to undefeated 6A Reagan while missing an extra point and 5 yd field goal with 3 seconds to go. (no excuses but the missed kicks were a result of their holder missing the game due to injury and back up fumbled two snaps)
Beat Harker Heights by 17 Beat East Central by 50 Beat Wagner by 17 Beat Canyon by 21 Beat Lehman by 35
Every victory has been by at least 3 scores and Smithson Valley has rarely played their starters into the 4th quarter.
You can all say that SV is ripe for the picking but I think they'll be happy going to what is essentially their 3rd consecutive bye week (bye-Lehman- MacArthur) working on a deep playoff run.
I've seen Wagner play in person several times and I know that Smithson Valley has to be glad they get them early in the season because once Wagner gets deeper into the season they get tougher and tougher. (just wish they weren't so one dimensional on offense)
You HAVE to give all the credit in the world to Boerne being 6-0 because you can not control who is in front of you. But other than Canyon you can't make the case that they have a quality win and even that was a last second comeback.
We will definitely know the next two weeks whether Boerne has "joined the upper echelon" as someone recently posted.
SV, Wagner Boerne and Canyon are the top 4 in that order in my opinion. First 3 being playoff locks and only remaining uncertainty in the district is if Seguin can somehow beat Canyon and steal spot #4.

Eagle pass was a quality win. They have a really good QB and WR corp. Best I have seen since 2019 semi-run. Looking at SV's schedule, I would argue they only have 2 quality wins (Wagner and Canyon). HH is nothing close to last year's team. No one is saying SV's offense is bad, just nothing too impressive. I think that has more to do with coaching / offensive philosophy than talent.
Odds are not in BC's favor vs. Wagner or SV, but if you haven't seen them, the offense is very good, diverse play calling, difficult to stop. BC has a college caliber OC, and it's been impressive to watch unfold.

First 3 being playoff locks and only remaining uncertainty in the district is if Seguin can somehow beat Canyon and steal spot #4. I do agree with what you are saying about SV's defense and that defense is hands down the best in the district without a doubt. I also agree that SV is the clear favorite to win the district. I will wait to see how the Wagner/BC game goes though because I think BC has a really good coaching staff and will have their kids prepared well to defend that offense. Whether they can do it on the field or not remains to be seen. The order you have the 4 teams finishing in looks right to me as well. I just am not so sure there is much separation between Wagner and BC or Wagner and NBC for that matter. As far as SV's offense goes, I've watched every game except for the Lehman game and will just say the offense is good but not great by any means. It is balanced well with both a solid passing game and solid run game but neither is really great. The 208 points in 6 games is just under 35ppg and most of that was against a bad EC defense, and a pretty average NBC defense. I know SV could have put up 80 most likely on Lehman so the 42 there is likely only because SV played backups most if not all of the 2nd half. The 3 best defensive teams SV has played the Rangers only got 67 points total. To date, the most impressive I've seen the SV defense was against WAgner. Though they yielded some yards between the 20s, holding them to 7 was outstanding IMO.

They run it very balanced and execute extremely well. They do have a stud WR but he has been dinged up this season and so far really hasn't done all that much. Not so sure about the EP win being that impressive. EP just lost to a pretty average L Alexander team and struggled to beat San Marcos a couple weeks ago. Time will tell if EP can beat LU and LU South. You are right about SV & Wagner being the favorite against BC but I think that where BC can beat WAgner is with the coaching you just spoke about.

Wagner should prob be by 35. Hays just isn't very good. BC defense shut them out until the 2s were put in at the at the end of 3rd. NBC should be by 21 at least. Seguin couldn't stop BC offense at all, and NBC offense is pretty good too. Lehman and Mac for a tie SV by 14 is prob right (what Cal Preps predicts). However, BC could get the upset if the Offense can play mistake free.

It will depend on them taking care of the ball and playing solid defense and spcl teams to get that large of a margin I think. Lehman and Mac are straight up bad....really bad. Very sad For BC to beat SV they will have to play extremely clean without any turnovers and probably have to actually force at least 2 SV TOs as well. In other words, they'll have to beat SV at their own game and that aint easy to do at all. BC will have to play really, really good defense and hold SV to under 21 points to get the win IMO.
