he' been mostly DC and on defense. Think he was linebackers at Calallen. DC at Sinton not sure in other stops. Wow! Who is Taft's OC? Or was their 330+ passing yards per game just a function of some really good players? If I had to guess it would be a combo of coaching, athletes, and classification... The reason I bring up classification in my statement is similar to Refugio, if you run certain schemes in the lower classes, they have greater success because they are not seen by everyone... Much like Slot T and Liberty Hill, Triple Option and PLC, who both have been in the higher classifications and lower classifications both, they catch folks off guard with their unfamiliar scheme... Refugio was a master at slinging the rock all over the field, and 2A/3A teams back then weren't used to that type of offense. Now more 2A/3A schools are seeing it and having athletes to cover it and Refugio is losing games. I think Taft has a similar experience. The schools haven't seen it ran like that, nor do they have the athletes built to stop stuff like that because of the limited numbers.

School board meetings are kept very close to the vest. There's not a lot of discussion and mostly just vote on taking action on something. If you're expecting a Jerry Jones press conference, this ain't it.

I would think they'd have a list of 3-5 finalists selected to interview from last night's closed door session. Or, I at least hope so in order to get this show on the road and get a new coach onboard as quickly as possible to start working with the staff and the kids

Why make us look up all the crap? Just tell us who they are and where they're from. Enough with your DaVinci Code bullchit. Kyle Kelly D- coordinator at Klein Forest that’s what popped up when I googled him Lol my bad. I just realized I wasn't responding to packattack95. He's the reason I made the "DaVinci Code" comment.

Very true but I was thinking in the general sense. So by now, those in the know, know. Man, if I worked for the echo, I'd be all over this. Where's the hard hitting journalism??

It's between Todd Dodge and Scott Surrat. JK.🤷♂️ I think I know who can be the perfect answer.... He's read all the right books, eats peanut butter, serves peanut butter, and was a Wildcat from across the bay leader.... He coaches defense and has a huge fan on here... according to that fan, he's the best coach on earth except for GW....
