I only said Dustin Vaughn cause someone threw out a clue that it was an ex Calallen Qb and a former Dallas cowboys quarterback …. Not sure who else fits that bill … unless they were two separate clues or maybe I just misunderstood in general I said he was an ex Wildcat. Never mentioned Calallen or Dallas. Someone else mentioned the ex Dallas cowboys player as a hint but I probably just misunderstood

Where is Ryan Perry from? I am not sure didn’t get to see that info Only Ryan Perry I find is an OC at a high school in Alabama. Edit: I think it's the Robstown coach. He's Gage Perry but maybe Ryan is a middle name or something.

I wonder what happens at the board meeting tomorrow. Hopefully they narrow the list down to the ones getting an interview.

Are they going to have a meeting on President’s Day? yep they already posted their agenda Just realized today is Atwood's official last day so maybe that's the only reason the athletic situation is on the agenda. Hopefully not.

Hearing rumblings of a group of parents wanting to show up at the board meeting tonight to voice concerns over the AD/HC selection and give their thoughts and some insight to the current situation. They will not be allowed to sit in on that part of the meeting since it is closed session. Not sure that it will happen as they are facing opposition. If they are allowed to speak during the public’s portion of the meeting, they will not be allowed to use their time to discuss the situation, which I find unfair. The superintendent and board have narrowed down their selections and after the initial round of interviews this week, will narrow down again. Central office claims superintendent has final choice. As much as the board would like to paint the picture that they have nothing to do with the process, as expressed by some trustees at a recent gathering, the VP who runs unopposed every election, was very much gloating about how he “has his guy”. The superintendent very much discusses all of this with the board and they have a lot to do with the selections. Unfortunately the board members socialize with certain parents, let them in on the inside info and these parents turn around and brag about what they know. Word spreads around town, and this is why there is a lot of frustration and anger towards the board a lot of the time because they let all their buddies know all the inside stuff and then that opens another can of worms as they say.

Have the coaches that made the interview phase been notified already? How can someone brag that they have, "their guy", when nobody on that board even agrees on anything. The board should disclose the applicants or at the very least the finalists. Be transparent and get the community to trust you. How are they too stupid to understand that. It's not like it's top secret stuff if they're letting all their close friends know so be smart about it and let everyone know for transparency sake.

Let me clarify, meaning “he” had his guy not “they”. He’s an arrogant guy to begin with, he has no problem throwing his weight around and talking out of the other end. I agree with you on everything you’re saying but again it’s Alice and it’s just how things are done around here. I started asking questions about who they’d be interviewing but I was cut short. All I was told is that some are favored not so much front runners but will be notified and asked to interview, that includes those in-house.
