Chino just more of your diarrhea of the mouth. You don’t know squat about what went on at GP. Coach Anastacio was asked to come to Odessa by HC Danny Servance whom he coached with at Permian. Coach Anastacio left Permian with Coach Darren Allman to Westlake. They came close to state titles something Alice has never done. Coach Anastacio coached in the Army Allstar game that is about to have a game I think next week. Coach Anastacio played 4 years at Hardin Simmons and was 8th in most tackles in history. He played in Playoff games at Hardin Simmons. He has a degree in Math and computer science. He was asked to come to Llano to coach. Please tell us what year he was one of the coaches at the Army All-American Bowl? I am looking. Coach Matt Anastacio became acquainted with Coach Darren Allman when Coach Jimmy Keeling r4estarted the HSU football program and Coach Matt Anastacio was recruited by HSU. Four inducted to HSU hall of fame by Saturday, October 13th 2012 ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons inducted four members into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday night as part of the school's Homecoming weekend. Darren Allman, Ted Edmondson, Tim O'Leary and Meredith Hare Stone are the 2012 Hall of Fame Class. Allman played football from 1990-1992 for HSU. Edmondson was a football player from 1956-58, O'Leary was a soccer player from 1978-82 and Stone was a standout for the women's golf program from 1998-2001. Allman was the first recruit for coach Jimmie Keeling when he revived the program at HSU. Allman, a Odessa Permian graduate, was playing at Texas Tech and transferred to HSU. He was an all-conference defensive back in all three seasons he played at HSU. He had 10 career interceptions. After his playing career, Allman finished his degree at HSU while serving as a student assistant. He then coached in Cleveland, Brownwood, Temple and Dallas before becoming the first former Panther to return to Permian to coach at the storied high school. He went 38-11 in four years and then moved on to Austin Westlake where he is the head coach and athletic director. Coach Darren Allman was selected to coach the Army Bowl game, I think 2009 after losing to Trinity Euless in OT state title game. If they had video review like they have now Austin Westlake would have won. Coach Matt Anastacio was DC in the Army Bowl game. Coach Brendon Faircloth was selected to coach the offense. He went to PNG and Coach Matt Anastacio went to GP. PN-G's Faircloth to coach all-star game Port Neches-Groves head football coach Brandon Faircloth watches his team during a recent practice. David Henry/The Enterprise Brandon Faircloth needed little time to think before he said yes. And when he did, he became a coach to many of the nation's top high school football players. Faircloth, who has coached the Port Neches-Groves football team to the playoffs in each of his two seasons at the school, will help coach Team USA in the second annual Team USA-vs.-The World all-star game Feb. 2 in Austin. He will serve as the team's offensive coordinator under Austin Westlake coach Darren Allman, Faircloth's former boss when both coached Odessa Permian. Faircloth immediately said yes when offered the assistant coaching position. exp-player-logo Read More "They wanted me to think about it, but I don't normally have to think about representing our country," Faircloth said Thursday. The game will pit many of the best American high school players with high school-aged players from around the world. The game is sponsored by USA Football, which is the official youth development partner of the National Football League. The World team consists of players from 12 countries over four continents. USA Football has a partnership with the International Federation of American Football, which sponsors several American football youth leagues worldwide. The game will be played at Austin Westlake High School. The game's date, Feb. 2, is the first day of the national signing period for high school seniors to play college football. Team USA has 42 players selected, and three more players will soon be added to the roster. Faircloth said he had not been told if he would have any say in picking the last three players. No Southeast Texas players are on the roster. Team USA won last season's team 17-0 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the longest-running active high school All-American game. The game was first played on December 30, 2000, in Highlander Stadium in Dallas, Texas.[1] Since then, however, the game has annually been played inside the Alamodome in San Antonio. Notable participants include Andrew Luck, Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Ndamukong Suh, Patrick Peterson, DeSean Jackson, and Michael Oher.[1] Twenty-four Army All-Americans were selected in the 2007 NFL Draft. They want to spread it around to Cali, Florida, and Texas. It is a great honor for those kids. There are a lot more that went to NFL that played in those games such as Odell Beckham. It is fun to watch as they pick the college they plan to attend. Coach Darren Allman spent 9 years under Coach Gordon Wood and a year under Coach Randy Allen. He stopped off in Brownwood to talk to Coach Freeman on his way to Odessa to apply for the Permian job. They were having a power lifting tournament. Odessa Permian had been up before and during "Friday Night Lights" and is was down. Only 10 coaches applied for the job. Coach Freeman gave Coach Darren Allman a copy of the "Poem : The Touch of The Master’s Hand". Coach Allman turned it around and Permian became a contender. When there is a change of coaches at Permian, they fire all the coaches and you have to hire a complete staff. No PE majors need apply. Coach Matt Anastacio was a Math and computer major. Coach Danny Servance and Coach Brandon Faircloth was also hired. When Coach Allman left for Westlake, Coach Danny Servance left for Lubbock Estacado as HC. Coach Jimmy Keeling was once HC at Estacado before going to Hardin Simmons. He started football at Estacado as a new school and new HC. Hardin Simmons became the winningest team in college football. I walked across that campus in the summer as a toe head barefoot boy when I was in elementary school.

Now, answer my question. What year did Avastasio coach a team in it?

And HE DIDN'T coach that Army All-Star team like you are trying to MAKE IT SOUND like. He was an assistant Westlake coach under Allman. Allman is the coach of record for that army all-star team, not him so just stop with your nonsense about him. If he was half as good as you think he is he wouldn't be a co-DC at a 3a school, he'd be a HC at a 5a or 6a school somewhere! He won less than 60% of his games as a head coach. Stop trying to make him Nick Saban continuously here and maybe me and others wouldn't respond to the rhetoric.

Anastasio resigns from G-P, to take job in Odessa Feb. 10, 2016 By Len Hayward of the Caller-Times
Gregory-Portland football coach Matt Anastasio announced his resignation on Wednesday, ending a five-year stint at his hometown school, the San Patricio County News reported.
The Wildcats finished the 2015 season with a 6-5 record and were eliminated in the first round of the Class 5A Division II playoffs by Somerset 24-17. The Wildcats qualified for the playoffs in all five of Anastasio's seasons with his best years in 2012 and 2014 seasons. He compiled a 34-25 record at the school.
In 2012, the Wildcats finished 10-3, falling in the Class 4A Division I regional semifinals to Leander Rouse. In 2014, G-P rallied from a sluggish start to rebound and go three rounds deep in the postseason before losing to Kerrville Tivy in the Class 5A Division II regional semifinals.
According to media reports, Anastasio, a 1990 graduate of G-P, will take a job as an assistant coach at Odessa High, working for Danny Servance, who was recently hired as the coach. Anastasio was a finalist for the same position along with Servance and Beeville's Jimmy Mitchell in January. Anastasio also will be returning to Odessa where he was an assistant at Odessa Permian under former coach Darren Allman.
Anastasio came to G-P from Austin Westlake, where he served as defensive coordinator.
Anastasio could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.
