Cochino I can only tell you what I was told by members of the board an members of the planning committee. I’m sure you realize school districts cannot plan in the short term they must use every resource available to plan both short and long term. At present the GP ISD has been blessed with a windfall of added tax revenue and the district has been using those tax dollars building all new schools and many more projects at GP. Also currently the revenue sharing Robin Hood law is been the Texas legistrature being modified. What that means for GP is more of those tax dollars stay at GP to wisely use it for our schools. And Dr Cavasos stated if we got it we will use it. Another thing at present is the partnership that GP ISD and local industry has developed . It’s a success for our students and athletes who will soon workout and play on those projects baseball and softball and the indoor facility. The last few years have been good for GP but everyone knows those windfalls will not last forever. That is why the school district has been so aggressive to get the new projects and facilities built before the eventual slowdown occurs. Hopefully that explains to a certain degree as why GP plans on growth for the future. We get what you are saying, but whoever told you that GP was getting 25 rows of bleachers isn't reliable information lmao. You're going to have to explain reliable information to him.

If they do expand the 25 extra rows, it could be to draw playoff games to GP. Get them away from Buc and Cabiness. It's a smart move in that aspect. Or they could do what Temple does up here and move their band to the visitor side to drowned out the opposing fans and opposing bands. It also limits the fans from the other teams that come to Temple so they always have the bigger crowd.

The Welder Wildlife Foundation Headquarters is located on the Welder Wildlife Refuge off HWY 77 approximately 10 miles northeast of Sinton, Texas. They have Bow Hunting.

The expansion of 25 rows on the home side is necessary because the new SUP will allow juniors and seniors on the varsity football team. The GP sophomores finally get a boost from their elders. These 25 rows will accommodate the additional parents and fans.
As for the deer blind on the visitor side - We GP Wildcats consider it a historical fixture at Ray Akins stadium and historic preservation is an important way for us to transmit our understanding of the past to future generations.
Hahaha - joking...

I wonder how many on here know the origin of the deer blind reference? Me!!! Man that has been around since the caller forum lol The first time I remember hearing it Calallen was at Gregory-Portland. Catsiradio was calling the game on internet and radio. On the internet side you can hear the conversation while the radio side is hearing commercials. The weather was lousy wet, cold and windy they were freezing up there and Mike G. Says "it's like a deer blind up here."

Rumor has it that old Danaher had a switch that he could cut the power to it at opportunistic times. Kind of a way cause confusion during tight games. Oh the memories of the past!

Speaking of overpass, does anyone know what the plans are? It looks like they're trying to run Lang road to the east side of Portland.
