I thought Alice was struggling with participation numbers not to long ago? How is it that people are so optimistic about them now? With a coach that applies for jobs every year

I guess I should let everyone know that in my heart I will always be a Vets Eagle due to my oldest two (I still have a senior girl there)... but I will also be a Carroll Tiger now and a Flour Bluff Hornet. CCISD split my kids up with their district boundaries. My freshman boy will be a Carroll Tiger, along with my youngest girl when it's her turn for HS. I have 2 boys in the Flour Bluff system too, the older of which will be a 7th grader this fall.

I don't know how it's gonna play out on Friday nights because I have no idea what kind of O-line Carroll will have but their skill kids have looked really good in 7 on 7. I think they are even the only Coastal Bend team that earned a spot at the state tournament. I don't totally understand your comment though... when did CCISD redraw the boundaries and how does that even effect Flour Bluff which is a totally different school district?

Boundaries were redrawn back in 2019 I think. At that time, 2 of my 7 were at Vets. They were allowed to stay. The next kid up (my freshman) would have also been allowed to stay since his older sister is still at Vets, but his waiver application was denied. So basically, the southside Lakes kids are now all Carroll kids. No more waivers. As for FB, 2 of my 7 have always been FB kids... I’ve always been an FB fan... but now I finally have a boy that could possibly play football (if he decides to). He’s entering 7th grade.

You've always been an FB fan? lmao that's news to me and I think everyone in here. You've been 100 in on CC Vets the last few years.

My bad, I didn’t clarify that. But now it’s ok for me to be a FB football fan having a kid (and his friends) starting their stories in the middle school program. I am a fan of my kids first, as I’m sure everyone here is. It was easy to be a fan of Vets as a program because my kid was 1 year removed from the first HS class.
