Rockport is on the rise , we will be the new improved Calallen soon. ROFLMAO RF has some work to do RF playoff History.....16-20-1 1 appearance in a regional finals EVER (2000) and whooped by Calallen 39-16 Calallen playoff History.....88-37-0 17 Regional Finals 14 time R4 Champions 2 time state finalist You might wanna pump the brakes just a tad and hope RF doesn't grow a little and move up to D1 because that won't be pretty! This year I feel PLC will be the best team. Then Miller. Calallen in third this year. Then I see Beeville with Soza

They are in great shape and some new kids joining the Cats are helping. They are filling some needed spots. And our backfield is loaded with the majority of the line returning. I am so excited!

Clem the growth seems hard to predict. Rockport is Ideal area but new people moving here are looking at Calallen. Odem is clearing out a large field to build more new homes. Rockport is building some big new homes and looks like for summer homes for wealthy. They want to live near George Strait summer home. Sinton does not have any housing growth and Steel Dynamics TD advertising for applicants for 300 employees to hire. They plan to start with 600 and may grow to 1000. GP is building more apartments. Education is the draw at Calallen. GP is in turmoil and getting a new Suptd to clean up the mess Paul Clore has made. This whole area is booming and CCISD Has messed up their school system over where to build a new school and has turned off a lot of people. I think the growth on the Island in FB district has slowed but I don’t work out there anymore. Rockport used to be inconvenient for shopping as you had to go to Corpus but not anymore. Resturants in Rockport are great. George Strait has a million dollar Yaht parked next to his home on the water and not unusual to meet a country singer in town visiting. Refugio and Woodsboro are close to the new steel plant. Odem seems to be the one banking on growth and Cal May move back up in the next alignment. Rockport has been slow growth for students for a long time and moving to Taft is unthinkable.

I'll move to my computer, that Ipad does not cooperate as good. Taft has a poor school system and highest concentration of sex offenders and people with criminal records. The police dept. like Gregory has problems from year to year. I don't know if a new house has been built in Taft the last 40 years. I have a friend who lives in the barrio and he can point out drug dealers homes from his front yard. Aransas Pass is the gateway to the Ferry Landing to the Island and runs second place to Taft on sex offenders. Ingleside is a nice area to build on but it has some people that should not be allowed on the street. It is booming with the pipline's coming in to the docks for shipping oil at the defunct Homeport. The new Chinese Pipe plant does not pay their taxes and treats their employees terrible. Rockport is on the opposite side of Aransas from Portland. Most of the better house built in Rockport are on the Bay and people have a dock and boat parked at that backdoor. They are not cheap.

I haven't been on here since last year. I'm not wild Bill. I was right last year about a lot of stuff. Miller looks good and so does Calhoun. Witaker sure has a knack for putting out his best players in the best positions. Milers coach is their problem. Danahers assistants should put a good game plan together for miller. Calallen maybe second come to think about it. Interesting to see Soza playing Alice. Talked to him and he was optimistic about the up coming season. His wife make a mean corn in the cup!

Calallen always reloads but I am glad those three anchors they had on defense graduated they will be hard to replace but I expect Calalllen to be tough as usual. I think Calhoun has a possibility of being better then they where last year will see it’s a tough district and every game will be tough.

There are a lot of distractions going on right now and each coach may have a problem getting the players to focus.

Let me see if I have this straight. GP vs Cal game pushed back to November when Cal has played 9 games and GP will play their first game. leave it to the UIL. I believe the UIL hates 5A and 6A. If I remember correctly they shutdown basketball playoffs after 4A on down finished and 5A and 6A did not get to finish.

This was my exact thought when reading this. No doubt Cal could be 3rd in this district but I don't think they will be. And no doubt this district is going to be good, very good.

But unless you all want to play one of your district mates twice or a team from the valley or the hill country you might meet in the playoffs, it’s the only alternative. GP is not real good in playoff match ups. FACT.

Well butter my biscuit. You don't say Calallen has more "move ins" who would have thunk it? At least with Miller in district it will be a contest on who gets the most move ins. None for athletics you understand. Now what to do about the Corpus officials?
