I plan to eat lunch today at Mike Cotton Barbecue in Calallen. Mike is donating to Food Bank part of revenue he takes in. He is continuing a carry out business. I ate barbecue at the original Cottons in Robstown in the 50’s before it moved out on the hwy 77. Joe Cotton was a friend to everyone in the oil patch.

I remember going to “Joe’s” when I was growing up. He was a great guy as is Cecil and the entire family. It’s one of my favorite places!

Well I guess I can say hello to everyone now in 4A. Should be a fun season. If it is played. We are excited about our Miller Bucs coming back. Seems like they have a lot of momentum coming into this year.

Wow, don’t give me much credit. You mention AM junky, yes I go to the truth Doctor Rush Limbaugh on his website. I want the facts. I researched the UT study that does not match up well with the Stanford study. There is another in depth study by another California U. That matches up well with the Stanford study. The state of Texas has lowest percent deaths per million than other states. The politicians trying to scare you into voting for their guy are quoting high number of deaths and blaming it on the guy they want to boot out of office, The facts keep coming up that this virus is less dangerous than the previous one. It is premature before more testing is done and organized but the ones who want their guy put in office and kick the other guy out of office are running a Scam to scare you to side with them. Pick your poison. Gamble and open back up or continue the shutdown and watch people starve and commit sucide or die from a robbery. I approve this msg ! Fact

This Rockport/Sinton Rivalry continues and may get better. Sinton Volleyball is getting hit hard on graduation and they may not be as strong next year. The Sinton baseball is not going to slow down and the new football coach in Sinton seems to be working out well. The new Exxon plant is coming along and be interesting where the permanent Exxon employees move to when they come in. Don't be surprised if Rockport gains from it.

Rockport is on the rise , we will be the new improved Calallen soon. ROFLMAO RF has some work to do RF playoff History.....16-20-1 1 appearance in a regional finals EVER (2000) and whooped by Calallen 39-16 Calallen playoff History.....88-37-0 17 Regional Finals 14 time R4 Champions 2 time state finalist You might wanna pump the brakes just a tad and hope RF doesn't grow a little and move up to D1 because that won't be pretty!

Comparing Rockport to Calallen is kind of a misfit as Cal has had the same coach for forever and Rockport changes about as often as GP. Johnnys and I disagree on Coach David McKinney and now he is gone and I am wanting to see how the new DC does. So far so good. I have confidence in the OC coaching. gpjohn and I disagree on Coach Harris the former boss of Coach David McKinney, so I am consistent. I was aware of Coach McKinney negative coaching and you can't win with that. Rockport is a retirement community and complete different village to Calallen. Rockport keeps coming up with a good QB and a good RB and a Good receiver but not so much at the same time. I watched that last game last year several time and with a little better luck , they could have won that game.

I agree with Rockport on going for 2 points as I think Wimberly had a little more depth and a better shot to win in overtime and Coach Seibert probably measured what energy his team had left.

Calallen looking for scrimmage#1 and #2 and some games looks like some teams drop them. Looks like maybe Sinton might be interested. looks like maybe scrimmage #2 as Calallen not looking for a scrimmage#2 anymore.
