Some general observations. When I heard about Dist 30, a district where 10 time regional final winner Calallen would limp into playoffs but smoke a District champ first round playoffs football. I smiled from ear to ear. A tough district haas proven to me to be a great platform for playoffs. Fast forward Baseball, Moody had one bad inng and wound up second for year three years ago. Victoria East, Who? State title game. I think they'll b a player and an asset in the future. Now it appears to be our turn. With I think 12 regional title already but 3 titles despite all the great players and Great coaching we know the road is tough. If Calallen defeats a great Georgetown team I'd like to know that folks from Alice GP TM Miller Vic's east and west and Moody make the trek to Round Rock. Sinton and Cal have had a very friendly riveraly as the only three peats. I think we should keep pushing each other too... Umm OK!

A shout out to some non pitchers, Chase Whetsel, Louie, 3 year starter had kind an off junior year having a monster senior year, hits the ball low hard and usuall gapping. Seems like every game in CF he makes a play u just can't believe, he ended the East game with one. Kale Emshoff definitely most improved player on team, got a nice write up on CCCT. Reese Barrett 4 hrs, he was the guy who chased down that out right field smash to the wall at whataburger field and threw , bouncing 3 times rolled on home plate for the easy tag. Even coach Curiel said he couldn't believe it. Hunter Peral 5 hr des hitter. Walk off against Moody been clutch all year. Josh Baltierra , he moved Louie out of the lead off spot and I see why for a little fast guy he hits virtually everything even harder and lower than Louie.Brandon Broughten. The only freshman on the squad. He's from the oil belt US natl champ junior league worlds series team. He started off slow a few at bats not much. Now he is starting third base and has had some clutch hits on pitch and goes. I'm told theve kept the rest of that team playing together as freshman. It'll b real interesting to see how they do soon.

Google tsrn sports Calallen georgetown they r broadcasting tonight's game. They did a great job broadcasting the game, it was a pleasure listening to it. It was good to watch last weeks game on Game Changer since Alamo Heights posted the game, they at least kept up with the game. Whoever does Game Changer for Calallen really SUCKS at it.

Warrior 1520 when u have time give me an update on ur pitcher that's out for the year for TM. I Think u said was a senior but has scholly ? Agreed. Bobby Stautzenberger does a good job. Football broadcasts are good too. This is a good matchup and doesn't get much better. Gtown is the real deal defensively. Cal is solid all around. Will be listening tonight, go get that dub Cats!!

That was painful to listen to...Hill strikes out 2 and both reach base in bottom of 6th. Then leave bases loaded top of 7th. Road to Austin just got tougher. Cream always rises to the top, c'mon Cats!

I wonder if Chris Nuncio is going to get credited with the loss like he did in the GP game? And how can he have a 6-1 record only throwing 14 innings all season?

I wonder if Chris Nuncio is going to get credited with the loss like he did in the GP game? And how can he have a 6-1 record only throwing 14 innings all season? I believe the Senior Chris Nuncio is a well known side arm slinger. Word is he has been mostly sat out this season and yes it was noticed that coaches at Calallen gave him that loss at Gp when he never started that game. I seen him throw a few innings and he can be very effective at times. Question is if the pitching coach has prepared him good enough over the years to believe in him at this point. Honestly , I wouldn't be surprised to see Dylan back out there some for game three for the Cats. Lots of folks talk about the horrible job the coaches do in preparing or giving enough chances to the 3-4-5 pitchers at Calallen during the season when possible. They usually only pitch their top two but at this stage you never know who you'll need. Best of luck to whoever gets the start tonight at Calallen , they need this win!
