I think they messed up by having too much blue everywhere. Since FHS is blue and yellow, Centennial, Wakeland, and Reedy probably should’ve stayed away from Navy. Lone Star had to have some sort of blue and/or red because of its name though, but it works because it’s completely different than FHS. If you know you are going to have a lot of schools, it’s best to have one main color (red, blue, yellow, maroon, purple, orange, green, black) and one accent (black, gray/silver, yellow/gold/Vegas) for each school. The Red, White and Blue at Centennial makes sense. Wakeland and Reedy colors do not... I hope Emerson goes with Gray and Yellow and become the Lightning, Thunderbolts, Storm, Owls, Raptors, Falcons, Vipers, Cobras, or Rattlers. Or Prosper uses this color scheme for one of their upcoming schools. Don’t hold your breath. That’s a very rare color scheme. Prosper is going to stick with the bird theme, so there’s that. When I think of Emerson, I think of emerald green. Even the SLC color combo would be neat. I just don’t want to see “Emerson Eagles”. Emerson Owls has a nice ring to it, but I think it has to Emerson Elephants. Lol.

Midland ISD’s bond initially looked to pass by 11 votes. Then more ballots came in and it lost by 25 votes. After a recount, the bond passed by 12 votes, but 820 ballots have disappeared from the initial count. Looks like the bond will pass...? If it is official, Midland HS and Lee HS will both open new 9-12th campuses, with the current Lee campus becoming HS #3. The current MHS campus will be repurposed into an academy and a MS, while the 9th-grade centers will become middle schools. Schools would start opening around 2023 and the capacity would be 2400 for each. www.cbs7.com/content/news/Recount-shows-that-Midland-ISD-school-bond-actually-passed-565375331.html

Frenship ISD is going to pursue adding a second high school. No timeline has been presented so far.

Well it’s looks like Comal ISD’s 5th high school has a name - Pieper High School Warriors - colors purple and gold.
This school will relieve growth at Smithson Valley, who is at around 3,000 students right now. I believe it will be completed in 2021. But this campus will have a capacity of 2,500, unlike San Antonio Davenport, which is only at 1,500 capacity. This campus will also have its own stadium. I drove through northern San Antonio this week and noticed their stadium construction which made me wonder what this high school was. So this is the result of that research. Very nice stadium that looks no less than 8,000 capacity so I had to look it up and that’s what I found. Looks like Smithson Valley will be back in 5A soon, even if just temporarily.

LCISD's new high school, Randle, will open with lower grades next fall, 2021, with they estimate 921 students. They estimate in 2023, it will reach 2017 students. All will come from Lamar, Terry, and George Ranch areas, Foster and Fulshear will be unaffected. There has been some talk about a new school after Randle.

I read somewhere that LCISD is building a new Football stadium. Supposedly across the street from Foster HS. With this new school they will have 6 schools playing out of two stadiums. Is it known if the new school is close enough to GR for them to build a third stadium.

They sure need one. I haven't heard anything about a location, if approved. I doubt there will be a third stadium any time soon.

LCISD was very shady with it's bond "planning" committee. They were given no real options to choose from. The CISD essentially handed them what they were gonna do. Due to the continual high growth, they need to be focusing on new schools across the board, not wasting precious funds on more stadiums.

It'd be tough with 6 HS using 1 Stadium. The current 5 schools are spread across 3 classifications/divisions.

I am for a 2nd stadium. Maybe not with the price tag they are carrying, but they definitely need 2. That should hold them over for several more years.
