You are correct. The NBISD middle school is now open as New Braunfels MS. What was the old NBMS is now the New Braunfels HS 9th grade campus. And the current New Braunfels MS will eventually be that 2nd HS. However, a bond election would have to be passed to make the current middle newer school into an adequate HS campus. The other bond election that may be up for late 2015 would address two new elementary schools. The upgrading of the middle school to a HS is not an immediate need so it will be put off for a later bond election. radionb.com/news/local-news/article22164/nbisd-still-considering-november-bond-election-likely-will-not-include-second-high-schoolI was driving on Klein Road and wanted to check out what this huge place was. Had to go all the way around building to see that it was the middle school. Really nice athletic facilities and a very large building. Also lots of room to expand. If it becomes a high school, I wonder if it will be called New Braunfels South. It is in northern Guadalupe County.

Not sure what the new HS is going to be called, but I’m sure there will be community input for it. I do know that once the new MS is finished in 2021, that current building will be renamed into the name of the new HS, but will still be a 9th grade center for New Braunfels HS for a few years.

Probably NB Veterans Memorial. That seams to be the South Texas Trend.

College Station ISD is redrawing boundries to get CSHS and Consolidated in the same district. Not exactly sure where they will end up. That's the rumor around here anyways.

Do you know which grade levels Emerson is opening up with? I'm assuming 9-10.

Do you know which grade levels Emerson is opening up with? I'm assuming 9-10. FISD has been very consistent. Nothing official yet, but this one likely opens with 9-10 since it’s the last year of the next alignment (2021). HS #12 likely opens with 9-11 in 2022, though they do prefer to start with freshmen only.

No word on when colors and mascot will be revealed, but I feel like the school colors will be Green and Orange. Liberty (Red and Black), Independence (Purple and Black), and Heritage (Maroon and Vegas) are the closest 3 schools. Next are Centennial (Blue and Red), Lebanon Trail (Green and Gold), and Memorial (Black and Gold). Frisco (Blue and Yellow), Reedy (Green and Blue), Wakeland (Orange and Blue), and Lone Star (Blue and Silver) are on the other side of the district.

Never dawned on me that Frisco ISD would start to run out of color combinations... at least decent ones. I liked Independence's colors.

I liked Independence's colors. I think they messed up by having too much blue everywhere. Since FHS is blue and yellow, Centennial, Wakeland, and Reedy probably should’ve stayed away from Navy. Lone Star had to have some sort of blue and/or red because of its name though, but it works because it’s completely different than FHS. If you know you are going to have a lot of schools, it’s best to have one main color (red, blue, yellow, maroon, purple, orange, green, black) and one accent (black, gray/silver, yellow/gold/Vegas) for each school.

The Red, White and Blue at Centennial makes sense. Wakeland and Reedy colors do not... I hope Emerson goes with Gray and Yellow and become the Lightning, Thunderbolts, Storm, Owls, Raptors, Falcons, Vipers, Cobras, or Rattlers. Or Prosper uses this color scheme for one of their upcoming schools.
