It will be interesting to see how much Texas has grown since the last census. We have added a lot of High Schools in the last 6-7 years and have time to add more before the next census... It's almost sickening how fast we are growing. My main concerns are becoming too much like California and the likely future water crisis. I totally agree. We had a pretty bad water crisis during the drought, but cities kept issuing building permits... Any word on new lakes? I know they are connecting Lavon and Texoma. Still not sure what the plan is for zerbra clams...

I'm fairly conservative, but it's about time to have some region-wide master planning, lot size requirements, etc. There would be so many long-term benefits of such a thing from water, to transportation, to green space, and more. They are essentially adding on to Lake Bonham (they will be separate) by damming up Bois d'Arc Creek. It's going to dwarf Lake Bonham. Then there is also Lake Ralph Hall to the east of Bonham that I believe will supply Denton.

You have Trillions of dollars in School bldgs setting vacant for three months and not producing education and wanting more money to feed a system that spends more per student than any country in the world per student. Building more schools is expensive. Not sure what else can be done. Tuloso-Midway uses the school the same amount of days as any other. There are ways to fit more kids in the same building to make it last all year, but they all can't be in there at once. So the kids wouldn't get to have the same breaks together. Also, more teachers would need to be hired. If we could use college-style "pick your school days and semesters" system, the buildings would never sit. But that's impractical to pull off.

So they'd go to having two 5A schools? Looks that way, at least at first.

Rumors were that Lewisville ISD could be (smartly) expanding and adding a 9th-grade center to LHS Harmon to turn it into its own comprehensive high school. The bond list above shows that won't happen. What is noticeable here is that The Colony and LHS (the Harmon feeder) are growing, but Flower Mound, Marcus, and Hebron are not. Considering those 3 campuses are in the more desirable places to live, maybe they are expecting more old people to settle in and not move out? Doesn't make sense, but don't expect a 6th LISD HS.
