I'm crediting Coach Boone for trying something new at TM football for hand/eye/feet coordination, if not he should think about it. We didn't have middle school football practice yesterday afternoon because a lot and I mean a lot of the football players are in theater arts and they had a show at the school. They ALL did great. It was hilarious to see all these boys "busting a move" on the stage. They were dancing, spinning, flipping, acting and throwing others in the air. By the time these boys are on varsity they'll be spinning, flipping and dancing around the defenders too, I'm hoping!! Then again these boys just might be a bit smarter than the "too cool for theater arts boys" because most of the middle school girls are in the same show.

The fridge was in ballet, and I believe too tall jones was in some type of dance stuff too... It does help with the coordination skills...

Thank you Warcat. I was trying to tell my little thespian player last night that a pro player use to take ballet lessons but for the life of me I couldn't remember who it was. Of coarse he's too young to remember "The Fridge". He'll have to Google it!

In 7th grade football TM played GP last night at TM.
7th grade B teams TM-0 GP-24
7th grade A team game was a different story and both teams played a great and exciting game to watch. TM scored first and GP stopped them on the PAT. GP scored and went up 8/6. Both teams scored again and at halftime GP was up 16/12 with another blocked TM PAT. At the end of 3rd qtr GP is up 24/12. TM scores in the 4th but GP blocked another PAT score is 24/18. With 52 seconds left TM throws a long pass and is tackled at the 9 yard line. By the time they get lined up and set the running clock is below 10 seconds. The coaches and the parents in the stands are jumping up and down hollering for the quarterback to snap the ball, with two seconds remaining he snaps the ball and tosses it to the back sweeping to the left side. the buzzer goes off and a GP defender wraps him up at the legs and he falls over the goal line tying the game at 24 each. A false start penalty on TM moves them back 5 yards and GP stops the fourth PAT attempt on the 1 yard line.
7th grade A teams TM-24 GP-24

TM 7th grade football vs. Flour Bluff games
A teams TM-12 FB-20
B teams TM-6 FB-42
The A team game was actually very close. The Little Hornets stopped the Little Warriors on the final drive to avoid a possible tie game. It was an exciting game to watch for seventh grade football. I saw more passing in that game from both sides than a lot of 7th grade teams have in their whole season. It looked like an air strike!
