You're preaching to the choir warcat82 with me on that. Maybe things will turn around a bit. This school year we have had 6 students transfer from one of those NON RECRUTING schools in the area to TM. The issue with that, is most of those transfers are not good athletes they typically transfer for academic extra curricular events... There have been some good ones to transfer to TM from other schools though... Especially in the early 90's... Brent Alford was probably the most high profile of those. Several of the kids I knew at Cal transferred to TM before we graduated most during freshman and sophomore years... I am glad I transferred to TM from Cal because I had great coaching at Cal, then Talbert made me become better because I hated him so much I wanted to be a better athlete to spite him and he was the reason I became a coach cause I wanted to coach against him to kick his tail!!! Anyway back to topic, I hope those transfers are good athletes! Wow Talbert and May. 2 coaches I havent heard of since my days at TM. It would be nice to see Boone turn that program around, and keep the kids together. Thats always been my thoughts, once HS hit they want to play for winning team.

Y'all didn't have to endure the horrible coaching of Don Schmidt. When Campbell announced he was leaving for Clallen, he met asked me to go play over there to see what a real head coach was all about. He told me these guys are the real deal and pretty much apologized for the head coaching we had been receiving. I should have gone. After Campbell hit the road, Coach Craig became our DB coach...he and the other assistants were great coaches. Coach Brantley has had some success at Sealy and his son played at A&M. He and Bobby Craig together were a riot...they could hit a softball for miles.

We had Hovda as our RB Coach, but the only person who ever got the ball was his son Eric, who was good. Then David Unruh was the O/D line coach, Price was there at that time as well. Coach Craig was and still is a class act and one of the best basketball coaches I ever played for.

I was a sophomore his first year at T-M and we would play lots of BB pick up games in the summer. He got inside position on me and pump faked me up and then as I was coming down he powered through me...I damn near bit my tongue off and I was a decent sized kid! I respected his BB abilities after that! We have a T-M Warrior basketball Facebook page where we round up donations for T-M basketball and tell good old stories about Bobby. You need to join if you aren't already on it. Coach Hovda was my daughters track coach at the Bluff before he retired. I enjoyed talking to him about old football stories. When I played at T-M, he was at Robstown. He gave me the inside scoop on their scouting report of us...he really was fun to talk to.

I had a rough count of 45 kids on GP's 7th grade B team! A teams were pretty close match with TM, except final score I guess! although 1st half was 0/0

Alice's young Coyotes won both 7th grade games yesterday. 7th grade "B" team game Alice-22 TM-6 7th grade "A" team game Alice-14 TM-6 The "A" team game went right down to the last few seconds. It was an 8/6 game then Alice scored their second touchdown with around 4 minutes left in the game. TM blocked the 2 point conversion. With 1:56 left on a fast running junior high clock, TM is on the 4 yard line. Then "Bam!" then the inevitable happens, false start penalty pushes them back five yards, dropped pass in the end zone and a snap over the quarterbacks head. Does anybody know the results of the 8th graders games played in Alice yesterday?

The games this week got all mixed around. They moved the 7th grade A team to monday night and instead of playing the scheduled Aransas Pass team TM played the undefeated CC Metro Prep Bucs at Buc stadium.
Well, they ain't undefeated no more!!
7th Grade A team TM-38 CC Metro-20
12 of CC Metro's points came from two kick off returns ran back for touchdowns. I believe by the same kid #2. TM blocked both extra point attempts.

7th grade A team TM-8 Alice-28
Beware, Alice has some big kids coming up and Cochino is misleading everyone too about not having kids "of that color". I saw some on the middle school teams.

Cochino is a spinmeister. He spins it up to rile posters and get a response back. That's his game. His track record on predictions is horrible. Then he runs to Dairy Burger when crow is served.
