Week 0 is only one week away so might as well get this poll and discussion started.

Talk about rivalries, I think we have one here. I think FB is head and shoulders better than King. there have been a couple of close games the last several of years, so who knows. I pick FB in a close one because of that.

Some history of the series: '05 Flour Bluff 45 King 20 '06 Flour Bluff 48 King 24 '07 Flour Bluff 12 King 9 '08 Flour Bluff 40 King 28 '09 and '10 did not play '11 Flour Bluff 38 King 30 '12 Flour Bluff 23 King 14
But it is true that King wants a W in the worst way and plays really hard in this game. I am sure they are sick of losing this one.

IMO King is a good team that will be a challenge for Flour Bluff. It will be the first Live Action game, so it is expected that there will be mistakes and learning events as the coaches evaluate the players and get the "Right" team together for when Flour Bluff starts District 31-4A play.

Most if not all teams scout scrimmages. Especially the one right before the season begins. I guarantee you FB had scouts at Kings scrimmage. Alice had Alexander and GP scouts at the scrimmage last night. They all do it.

Went back and reviewed what was posted about the Calallen and King scrimmage. It sounded like Calallen handled them pretty well even platooning backups against Kings first stringers later.

Come on Calallen folks what did you see that King brings to the table? A good passer and some tall WR's who might connect a time or two. Other than that, nothing much. Typical 21 st century CCISD team which means mediocrity.

King will get a big dose of the super Soph QB that FB has. If FB passes 80% then it could get ugly quick.

Rumor is that the Atomic Hornet has retired and his replacement will be seen for the first time at Buc Stadium tomorrow night.

Very excited to see our new Atomic Hornet or whatever its nickname will be. Also excited to see our band and hope the piece they selected for this year is a lot better than last years (last years was very boring imo)... That being said, I'll be looking for the Carroll players and coaches in the stands tomorrow night as I'm sure they will be scouting us, lol. Here's to a hopeful WIN and a healthy and safe game for everyone. GO BLUFF GO!

Since a Carroll victory over King could send Carroll to the playoffs.
