There's 3 GP scouts here. Its so cute because one is wearing a red cap, another is wearing a white cap and the third is wearing a blue cap. Awwwwwww. You are kidding right. Why in the hell would any G.P. coaches be scouting a scrimmage. Hell, they are not even in our district. Yep. And Alexander had about 8 scouts. They must have already had their scrimmage.

Majority of the King High School football team and coaches were at the FB/GP scrimmage tonight. Next week should be interesting.

They send coaches to scrimmages if it's an early non district game because they don't always trade game film for scrimmages... If a school sends out scouts (some schools choose not to scout) they send them to scrimmages too. Some schools scout 3 to 4 weeks of games, others scout 1 to two weeks out... By the way hope y'all's team stayed healthy tonight and congrats on getting through another scrimmage with more positives... Sounds like big plays were held to a minimum...

That makes sense through a coaches eye. I know when I played, we played everybody, including the scout team. Now, in no way am I putting down the scout team. I remember we had some pretty tough guys who would knock your block off in practice. Since they didn't get to play in games, practice was their game.

Only played controlled scrimmage. No game situation. Very sloppy. Carroll is very big but not good and it was only 3-2. Alice O-lineman jumped offsides a million times. I think Carroll has some pretty good athletes, but a poor HC. Uvalde was glad to get rid of him, even though he took them to the playoffs a couple of years.

Yeah scout team is key in the sense of they at least allow the guys to see what a play resembles... Even if they don't do it as fast or whatever as the player they are pretending to be...

Scout teams are underrated imo. They are a very important part of the team.

Mr. Herrera was just a puppet of the board. He got complacent. Whatley was a great coach.. That is all. Mr. Herrera was not a puppet of the board. Their might have been 5 or 6 gentlemen in the community whom he kowtowed to. But none of them were on the board. That school district was run from the Athletic Director's office. But Henry as complacent as you may think he was, is still better than what they've had the last 4 years. That was the question, "has the district gotten better?" The obvious answer is NO. No coach in South Texas would want to see Brent and Kevin come back down here. Whatley no doubt know's more football than anyone has ever seen round these parts. Brent Davis is a great coach. Do you live here? Do you have ties to AISD? No? Didnt think so.. Henry wanted to please every side of every issue. But in the end he did what his bosses wanted him to do.... As does almost ever Sup does. I will agree yes Whatley had a say in alot... Beltran didnt have anything coming up the pipeline. Baez and he argued alot last season I heard.[/quote] As a matter of fact - Alice is my hometown,I grew up loving Coyotes more than loving Cowboys. I do not any longer live in Alice. I do have ties to AISD. And regrettably helped elect board members who's main objective was to get rid of Henry. They also had on their agenda to bring Soza in no matter what the consequences. Did you work for Henry? Didn't think so... Like I said before - Henry had bosses, but they were'nt on the School Board. Does it matter also if Baez and George argued? That is a story I was unaware of, but, George was the head coach. A subordinate should never argue. And now who is out of coaching. There has never been a basketball "pipeline" in Alice. So that is a non-factor.
