Region 4 D1 is wide open. The favorites have to be Leander Rouse and Flour Bluff.
Region 4 D2 is definitely Cedar Park. Calallen, PLC or Kerrville Tivy are hoping to knock CP from their Throne.

I hear you varmint. D2 will be a war but we will catch them 2nd round. So how do you feel about D1.

I have a feeling CP will go D1. I don't expect either Leander or Leander Rouse to miss the playoffs. Leander might have a dropoff with a new HC and a new QB. It is possible for Coach Dodge to motivate Marble Falls to possibly knock Leander or Leander Rouse out of the playoff picture. Cedar Park Vista Ridge or Austin Vandegrift are more likely to keep either Leander or Leander Rouse out of the playoffs. 25-4A would have to have two of the three finish in the top 4 spots for 25-4A: Cedar Park Vista Ridge, Austin Vandegrift & Marble Falls. I don't see Dripping Springs in that mix. If Cedar Park is Region 4 D1 then they are the D1 favorite. That would lead a battle between Kerrville Tivy SA Brennan, Calallen & PLC for the Region 4 D2 crown. Now Flour Bluff could end up in D2 if two of these three finish in the top 4 spots of 31-4A: CC Ray, Laredo Nixon & Laredo Martin. With that possibility I would put Flour Bluff in that D2 mix and will most likely face either Calallen or PLC in the 2nd Round. That would be a helluva game for the 2nd Round. A lot of possibilities for 25-4A and 31-4A.

I don't really know what CP has coming back, but I think they're the favorite to repeat if they go D2. If they're D1, I'd put them behind Denton Guyer. As far as R4 goes, whichever bracket Cedar Park isn't in should be wide open. I think Calallen can go D1, right?

I meant "or" but put "and" as I agree that only one of Leander or Leander Rouse have to miss the playoffs for CP to go D1. Calallen can only go D1 if only one of these 3 makes the playoffs in 30-4A: Victoria East, Victoria West or GP. So both TM and Beeville would have to finish in the Top 4. I don't see that happening in 2013.

Unless TM and Beeville join Calallen and PLC in the playoffs when all is said and done, Cal is pretty much a lock for the D2 route. The chances of this happening is just as slim as Gee Pee John and Kings ever wearing a Calallen skirt during the playoffs.

Region 4 Favorite
Cedar Park all the way in whatever division they end up in. I just don't see any drop off in that program.
Coastal Bend Contenders
Calallen should be strong this year. They have one of the best coaches in South Texas history, and you better believe he will have them ready to go.
PLC should be strong as well. They are another team with a heck of a coach. Add in the size of their OL and they will be tough to beat.
Flour Bluff is somewhat of a question mark for me. They have some great athletes over there. It is going to be interesting to see how their team progresses throughout the season.
Dark horses: Alice, GP, Ray

Wouldn't it have to be PLC and either TM or Beeville?

If Tuloso-Midway and Beeville make the playoffs. anyone else in 30-4A would be D-1. 30-4A enrollment #s 12-13 (DCTF) 1. Victoria East 1841 2. Victoria West 1701.5 3. Gregory-Portland 1360 4. Calallen 1202 5. Calhoun 1125.5 6. Tuloso-Midway 1097 7. Beeville 1035

That was what I thought. So, if the four playoff teams are GP, Calallen, Calhoun, and either TM or Beeville, Calallen's D1.
